- So far I am very pleased with the appearance and feel of the watch. It looks expensive and makes a great showing. It is a very large (oversized) watch. If you want to make a statement this is a great watch for that.

How is this for a statement of brand:"The demand for the Hamilton standard of accuracy is not limited to any class of men or to any business or profession. A man's desire to own a Hamilton goes much deeper than his professional or business training, because respect for precision and accuracy is a quality of personal character."-From Hamilton Watch, "the watch of railroad accuracy", p. 23
I recently was the high bidder on a nice looking Cushion Plain. Here's one of the seller's slighly out of focus pictures:After a three week journey from the Great White North, the watch has arrived in sunny South Florida. Here is a more detailed dial picture:I had thought that the dial was too clean, it might be a redial. Now I'm not so sure. All the printing is very sharp, much better than expected.Movement seems to be in good condition, with a palindromic serial number:Why a "Happy Birthday" Hamilton? Well, it arrived today, June 1, 2009, and has this inscription: Presented eighty years ago today. And the original owner started work 105 years ago. I should look so good when I'm eighty! Happy Birthday Hamilton, gatorcpa
