Patek Philippe Patek Philippe 4637 wrist watches news:
I posted a thread in the General Forum but was asked by Bart to put this specific piece here. I wanted to diversify my vintage collection, and Omega was a brand I wanted. I love my recent Aqua Terra 2504.80 so it seemed like a logical choice. I have eyed a couple piepan Constellations, and saw one today in person that was incredible in solid gold and had all the original paperwork. Of course it was an incredible $4900 too. I liked the Melbourne Olympic commemorative from the 50's also, and even the reissues are sharp. Once again, I was not looking at spending several thousand dollars. If you read the G.F. post you can get the details, but I'll cut to the chase here:One block down from our city apartment is a small antiques venue with several different merchants. I picked up this 40's bumper today. I made a quick call to my watchmaker, and he told me a safe price range. With a little negotiating I was giving it a new home. I did a little research on-line and in a reference boo
Looks like a great fit for ya!
Hey Guyz:Thought I'd share what the collection looks like today. Currently looking at adding one more piece, which will probably be it for a while. Stay tuned till the end to see what that piece might be.My grandfather was a watchmaker so I have a few of his pieces. My wife found me my 1926 Hamilton Square and we discuss all acquisitions together. How lucky I am to live with a fellow WIS and we will soon post her SOTC as she has some really nice pieces. Not all of my watches are photographed, but this gives you a pretty good idea of the collection:The Beaters:His and Her SYF's:Something Different:The Vintage:this one is being made pretty at the watchmaker as we speak...strap change...The Modern:Groupings and Watch Boxes:The current object of my affections...photo from watchbuys:
