Seiko SUR831 wrist watches news:
Hello, WTF! I have been lurking around late at night for the past few days and I finally took the plunge today and joined. While I don't own an Omega (yet) I will be purchasing a Seamaster 2280.80.00 within a week or less. I was supposed to have purchased it today and would have received it tomorrow, however due to issues with my bank, I was unable to secure it. Now, I will have to wait a few days or so to get it. I am very excited as this will be my very first "luxury watch" purchase. I think the most expensive watch I ever owned was a Kenneth Cole Reaction brand that cost just a tad over a C-note. When I do finally have the watch in my hand, it will be a big sense of accomplishment for me as I have been lusting over this watch for quite some time! I challenged myself to save a bit away and now I am finally going to be able to purchase it! I am thrilled to see that there is a mature, kind, community where I can share this experience. I will post pics when I finally get it!
I always kinda liked this watch, but it ran fast.....like, oh, gained 6 hours a day !.........But my great watch guy just worked his magic on it and voila ! it keeps perfect time now............this is a really small, man's watch....only 25mm across, excluding the crown, and 34mm lug tip to lug tip.....It just so happened that I had this scissors type expansion band in very good condition as far as wear goes, but so comfortable to wear compared to the sturdy Spiedel stretchy metal type.....when it's on my wrist, it isn't stretched out at all, so it's a short band too....my wrist isn't all that big..........and I sorta like the way the lugs are slightly asquew..( don't know how to spell that ) ......and 2-toned dials are so cool looking ..........oh, and it was made in 1940.....
have a great day everybody!!
Background: I'm getting ready to bite the bullet on a new purchase in the next month or so, and, as suggested here, I am seriously looking at the WTF sponsors first. In some cases, I know I'll pay a bit of a premium over what I might otherwise get from a casual seller. So I expect a bit more for that.In other words, I guess I feel like I'm buying "reputation" here. With that comes accountability. Can we discuss WTF Sellers by name here, and get candid feedback before the purchase? What about after? And what is the WTF Policy for standing behind its Forum Members in the event that we have a problem w/ the purchase, aren't satisfied, or worse? Thanks.
i saw the new 007 (black face red 007) on sale on ebay $4,500.00 It's a bit high for my tastes...........so i will wait until it comes down in price. eBAY SELLER: designervalues
