Patek Philippe 4981G-001 wrist watches news:
High, looking at buying a second hand Schumaker in great condition. I own a nice seamaster and have wanted a Speedy for a while. I've decided I can't afford the Professional so I've decided this one could be the one for me, and probably contrary to most people I like the yellow dial. What I'm not sure about is the size of the watch. I see it quoted as 39mm body and I saw a reference somewhere as the same as the reduced model. I guess what I'm asking is what is the difference in size between a proffessional, an automatic and a reduced? Are they three different sizes and where does the Schumaker fit in? Is it considered a collectable or sought after model or a lesser oddity. I have no qualms at the price at $1200US as long as I would be likely to get most of my money back if I sell it down the track. Even though it doesn't come with box or papers it is in mint condition and from a reputable watch maker.Opinions appreciated.
Does anyone know someone who makes custom straps for this model or any 39mm AP?any feedback would be appreciated
Already at the airport on my way to Austin for the F1 Grand Prix. Grabbed a couple Illy Late Macchiato to wake up. I was really giddy walking around the streets and spotting pateks and rolex this weekend in Rome. Italians love their watches, and I'd never seen so many out in the wild.... Even 2 5711's.... Just strolling down the road! The first comment made to me by an Italian was of my milgauss as I was at the airport arranging a ride to the hotel.... The man just had admiration in his eyes and showed me his tag Monaco and started telling me about his rolex love...I saw a tourbillion rose gold royal oak in Venice last year... Its great! Who else has been pleasantly surprised to see a rare bear out and about?
Dear All,Do you think there is still 5575G available from AD now, after 1.5 yrs from its first delivery to the market? The production number of 1300 seems to be quite big, hence is it possible that there is still some stock being held by AD?Thanks!Henry
