- I purchased the Watch for myself for Christmas. When my wife saw the watch, she could not believe that I paid so little for it. I had to show her the receipt. Now she wants one. It is a beautiful watch and I get comments about it all the time.

Patek Philippe 3710 wrist watches news:
Welcome to the 2015 ¡°Horology Halftime Show,¡± presented by hindsight. The official arrival of summer means that Baby New Year clich¨¦s are as dead as your old Synchronar 2100, and in our era of instant analysis, it¡¯s high-time for a look back at a few?of high horology¡¯s best moments so far. Sit back, read on, and celebrate the finest plays of 2015¡¯s first two quarters.Boldest Move: Patek Philippe Calatrava 5524G.While the speculative impact of the Apple Watch has inspired the largest volume of controversy during the year to date, the most intense debate raged around Patek Philippe¡¯s first take on the evergreen pseudo-vintage pilot¡¯s watch genre. The Patek Philippe Calatrava Travel Time 5524G left some very self-important folks tying themselves in knots and exchanging CAPS-LOCK carbine rounds in online fora. For that entertainment value alone, the more jocular members of the enthusiast fraternity collectively owe Thierry Stern a free round at his favorite watering hole in Plan-les-Ouates
Hi all. I popped by the Audemars Piguet boutique today to get a new strap for my beloved AP. I decided to get a complimentary water-resistance test since it doesn't take more than 5 minutes. To my shock and disappointment, my AP ROO ref 26400SO, which was barely 3 month old from an Official AD, did not pass the test. They told me that I should send it in for a service, and anything done to the watch would be FOC as it is under warranty. However, after blowing $46,800 Singapore Dollars on a watch, should I not be expecting quality control better than this? I am frankly a bit upset that this is an issue, and I now have to send it back to AP for 6-8 weeks. Has anyone ever experienced this? What do you guys think about this lack of QC? Is it something that I have a right to be upset about? We are talking about a 3-4 month old watch purchased in July. I need some advice!!
Prior to the price increase, the 5711A and 5712A were the two least expensive watches in the Nautilus line. After the price increase... they still are.Although the Aquanaut is a fine watch and has a loyal following, it is a very different watch than a Nautilus. Very few people are going to get a 5167 or 5164 over either the 5711 or 5712 because of the price increase. I find it hard to believe that people favored a 5712 over a 5164 just because it was $2,000 cheaper before, but won¡¯t now that it is $4,000 more. For a watch in the $33,000 - $39,000 range, people are going to buy what they like (or can get), not which one saves them a few thousand dollars. For the 5711, which watch would you prefer over it for $29,000 that you didn¡¯t prefer over it for $24,000? Within the Patek lineup, only a couple of Calatravas fall in between those two price points. For a 5712, which watch would you prefer over it for $39,000 that you didn¡¯t for $33,000? I have an Explorer 2 16750 with a 3186 Movement. The hour wheel click spring recently broke so that when I move the crown to the 2nd position, the hour hand moves smoothly instead of clicking from hour to hour. It also does not line up correctly with the minute hand. After researching the boards, I see that this is a common, known issue by Rolex. What should I expect to pay for RSC to fix the spring, given that this is a know manufacturing problem? I prefer not to send my watches to RSC as I don't want any polishing or dial/hand replacement. Finally, will a new replacement spring fix the problem or should I expect this to remain a weakness throughout the life of the watch?
