Switzerland has responded to the sudden death of Swatch Group Chairman Nicolas G. Hayek on June 28 with a rare outpouring of grief, praise, and appreciation. Hayek, 82, was born in Beirut, Lebanon, but grew up in Switzerland and spent his entire professional life there. Hayek has been a prominent public figure in the country for four decades and one of the country¡¯s most famous and, ultimately, beloved figures. He founded a consulting company, Hayek Engineering Inc., in Zurich in 1965 and quickly became Switzerland¡¯s most important consultant, the Mr. Fixit that both industry and the Swiss government called on to develop strategies to fix seemingly unfixable problems. Hello all!Can anyone post some pic of DJs with these concentric/circular dials(silver, blue, black, pink, Champagne, etc)? What are these dials made of??Ed

Spare time at work.
I'm lucky enough to have a job that has some downtime in the afternoons (or unlucky depending on how you look at it). The light is pretty decent on my desk so I figured I'd fool around with some goodies I got from fellow moderator/enabler/facilitator RJ007. First was a package of vintage Longines boxes with a LeCoultre thrown in:But there were also some watches too. I messed around with shading to get a glamour shot of his pulsometer from the 60's:...and of course, somebody got a new toy - a 22AS:The photos are an experiment with editing features. I think they turned out decent.Looks like I'll be experimenting with some props and lighting for the next 2 days. After all, masthead honors are up for grabs - and the competition is tough so far....
