Praise for Wolf Designs
I received a Wolf Designs rotator as a gift a little while back and I currently live in Australia. It recently stopped working. Desperately I called Steve at Wolf designs in L.A. and asked him if it might be possible for me to send it to them and pay for repairs and shipping. However the air mail postage costs back and forth to Wolf Designs were prohibitive. What Steve offered then was simply for me to send him a picture of the rotator and agree to pay for the replacement rotator's shipping costs to Australia. This is an amazing example of customer service. Without me having to send the faulty winder back as proof of my complaint. He sent me a brand new 1.5 module. Well, it arrived today , beautiful packed..and working perfectly. My Rolex Submariner is ticking away nicely, safe and secure ready to wear at a moments notice. Which modern Omega Speedmaster is most true to the original moonwatch?
Hi all,First time poster and a first time buyer checking in! I have been eyeing the Speedmaster for a good year or so but have found myself overwhelmed with all the limited editions, the different movements, the different types of glass used, some automatic, some manual wind and so on.A big reason as to why I really have fallen in love with this watch, in addition to its beauty, is its historical significance. Therefore, I am looking to buy a model that is most similar to the one that was on the actual moon landing.So far, I have come to understand that I am looking for a Speedmaster that has a manual wind movement and hesalite glass but I am not entirely sure what reference number or what makes a movement better than another. I am also not sure whether to buy second and or new from an AD.I would greatly appreciate tips and recommendations from the more experienced and that is why I have registered myself here. Incoming: My First of 2016
picked this up over the weekend, and I couldn't be more pleased. I know some will say the market is soft, this reference is bound to drop more, etc. but, all things considered, I think I got a great price (over the long run), and it feels like a keeper anyway. I imagine it will take some time to get used to the weight, but I can see this as my daily wearer for quite some time.
