Perrelet A1017/B wrist watches news:
Helsinki, Finland. Not the typical place for watch makers, but it is where the wild Stepan Sarpaneva calls home and creates his vividly interesting timepieces creations. Playing with his popular moon face, Stepan creates a new watch that utterly features the now popularized serious looking artful lunar gaze. Called the Korona Moonshine, the watch tells the time via a single rotating disc that moves around the periphery of the dial. You read the time in the lower region of the dial where a window opens up to reveal the moving disc. Right at the 6 o'clock position is a small arrow that is used in conjunction with indicators on the disc to tell the time. It isn't the most precise way to tell the time, but the trade-off might be worth it to have this "face" on your wrist. The time telling disc itself is covered in lume for night viewing. I think this is where the "shine" in moonshine comes in. It can be interpreted that the moon above the little window metaphorically provides the shine. Well
If only 12 known examples are know to exsist? Why is the watch not selling for $900? It has been on ebay for several months. Seller says yellow and white gold. Even if it is green and yellow it should still sell if it is so rare? Seller will not show movement or post other photos. I asked him several times for them.
OK, I understand this may be a silly question, but coming from a novice, hope I'm forgiven Here's what I'd like to hear from the experts on this forum - some high end brands sell for exorbitant amounts, thousands and tens of thousands of dollars. I knowtradition, quality of craftsmanship, small exclusive seriesBut assuming no pure gold or diamonds are used, WHAT EXACTLY is in and about the watch that puts such a steep price tag on it?I mean, you can often buy an excellent, solid built watch for, say, under a thousand. Nice looking, well built and designed, long lasting. Some of these "under a thousand" even look better than some of those selling for tens of thousands, and might last you a life time. E.g. among other watches, I still have an ultra-thin Seiko quartz, built around 1978 that works as well today as it did back then when it was purchased some 30 years ago (and still looks good, too). Both expensive and inexpensive ones may have similar parts (sometimes identical movement is u
As some of you saw earlier this week it was a long day Wednesday waiting for fedex to arrive with my new jumbo. It barely fit so ordered an extra link...managed to order direct from Clearwater just before cutoff and they close for rest of year. What luck! Or so I thought.Arrives today and it doesn't fit in the bracelet. Son of a ... So much for wearing over the holidays since I now have to wait until January 5th to address it Anyway thanks for reading my whining. Had to share with an audience that may understand. ..my wife thought it was funny. Took a few snaps to share:
What years was the PAM00310 made?
