Great site. I've been lurking around for the last few days doing various searches and drooling over the pictures. I admit that I have been a "replica" guy for a few years now but my shame is getting the best of me. My wedding ring is gold so I feel like my watch should have some gold on it also. Is it better to have a strap watch (leather, rubber, etc) for an every day watch for a desk jockey? How good is the gold plating on the Japaneese Seiko watches? Can it stand up to everyday abuse?Does the Seiko Monster have a 2 tone model?I'm looking for some recommendations so I can get more data overload. :DHere are my loose requirements:- 40mm or larger- less than $1000- 2 tone (must have some gold)
Hi I need a watch that has hands (for easy visualisation of the time), and which I can also use in the gym for helping me time my stretches & rests. Can anyone point me to any websites that have really powerful filtering on watch features?? (As most websites seem to ignore Countdown Timer!)For gym use this I need it to to have a "Countdown Timer" so as to bleep after the time I have entered - e.g. after say 45 seconds. To get clear - the idea is to tell me when my stretching or recovery time is complete. Ideally, in order to not irritate other people in the gym this should beep just ONCE, after the time I enter. And it should loop automatically and so it will bleep once after EVERY 45 seconds (until I turn the Countdown Timer off).It would be even better if it had a memory function for the Countdown Timer, with up to say 3 or 4 memories so that I could rapidly switch between timing my different standard excercises. This might mean a countdown of say 10, 45, 85 and 180 second countdo
In the movie Destination Tokyo (1943) John Garfield is wearing a watch which says Aerotel on the face. Swiss Made also appears on the bottom of the face.Is anyone familiar with this watch. I can find no info anywhere on the web. Thanks
Hi GuysI bought the black submariner brand new from an AD about a week ago and I already dropped it on a tile floor!!! Since its only a week old I guess I am oversensitive about it. What do you folks recommend? Can I get it polished out? The dent/scratch is towards the bottom edge of the watch (pic attached)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
