Philip Stein 1WDNWARO wrist watches news:
Hexa is young watch brand that made a fair amount of noise in the affordable watch world earlier in 2013 with the release of their 500-meter K500 diver. Hexa was founded with the goal of developing "purpose-built instruments that feature innovative and original design solutions" and with the K500 it appears that they delivered on that promise. Ranging in price from $624 to $799, the K500's are certainly affordable, and their uniquely asymmetrical, rugged design give them a signature look. Now, Hexa is back with the release of their second watch, the Q500, a more affordable quartz version of the original K500. What the brand is affectionately referring to as "a grab-and-go quartz tool diver" the Q500 offers the same case design found on the K500 at a decidedly more budget friendly price of $350 with custom Italian rubber dive strap and optional upgrade to 5 link bracelet. Also like the K500, the Q model is designed, built and tested in the US with 2-year manufacturers warranty by L¨¹m-Tec
I just watched the new movie angels and demons starring Tom Hanks. I noticed the bad guy in the movie. The person who walked around killing everyone used something that looked like a two tone Datejust on a jubilee bracelet. Anyone know if it actually was a Rolex? Also Tom Hanks uses a Mickey mouse watch. Anyone know what brand that is? Disney? One off topic note. Some might remember I changed the plexiglas on my datejust and wondered if the new glasses was stronger then the old? I have come to the conclusion that either the new glasses are stronger then the old once or my old glass were flawed. My other glass scratched all the time you could almost not even touch it without making a scratch. This new glass has still not scratched and things has happened to the new glass that is fare worse then what happened to the last one. Things that for sure would scratch my old glass.
Well it seems like the new royal oak line is out. It still is the same 2385 caliber. I thought there was likely going to be a new in house caliber announced this year. The metal color combinations are nice. Gold with blue dial is my favorite. i actually liked having the numerals at the seconds marker. I am disappointed those were removed. These are all novelty items as well so I guess that means boutique only. Comes with gold bracelet or strap. Also steel version... Any thoughts?
Anyone here can share some thought about the watch? Im planning to go to Japan. Originally tried to hunt some rolexes, but found out the price nowadays is getting very unlogical. So I tried to find some other brand. And i just recall that I used to admire this watch so bad.I checked to some dealer in Japan, price of this watch preowned will be around usd7100 over there. Is the price good enough? How this watch hold the value if i purchase with that price?
Thinking about adding an SD43 to this mix. Whatcha think. Too redundant? Would be paying a premium but not a crazy one. At this price a skydweller is pretty close as well. I'm more concerned with loss on resale as I cannot try any of these pieces on before I buy them, so i dont want to get waxed should i not like it and have to resell.Advice welcome, thanks
