Breitling 788 wrist watches news:
Recently added a third old chronograph by Lemania that is in the Omega 1940 catalog as complete watch with only dial marking changed. The thick rigid case uses a lead gasket and was designed and built by Lemania, including the complex dial. I do not know of an earlier waterproof Omega chronograph. This 2 button version was a design change on an earlier single button in 1935. Do not know when this case was first used, but after 1935. I have single button serial 105 of 1932 that Omega also used. The 2 button shown here is serial 14000 exactly. No other movement markings because not originally sold in U.S. Omego used the same complex 3 color calibrations dial. This one is all original. I am tempted to say the band is also. It is very old and a fine grain lizard skin right for water. Advertised it was specially treated for water use. Seems like we have quite a few new members, so how about one thread to introduce yourself? Post a picture of yourself, your family, your watch(es), and tell us a little about yourself. I'll start:This is Windy & I in Maui December 2007. She has family there so we had plenty to do besides the normal vacation/touristy stuff. Here's my Aqua Terra 2504:My 1960 Seamaster De Ville:My 1961 Constellation pie pan:and my early 70's Constellation I just acquired (at the watchmakers now):If you ever see me refer to my "Eleanor", it would be about this:It's an 18K Constellation with the matching 18K band. Either an original Omega signed band or a Milanese version would do for me. (the Eleanor is a Gone in 60 Seconds reference as I can never complete a deal to own one - and it's my grail Omega)Let's see some of your photos!
Collection. Had to pick this up today. Paid a little more than I should have but if you like it...you gotta have it right! Hope you guys like it!It's got a 2200 cal co-axial cosc movement in itSome detailed shots - And a single wrist shot!
What do you think is an appropriate price for the speedy co-axial with steel bracelet? Model 311.30.44.51.01.002I know retail when it first came out was $8,200. How should it expect to pay at and AD. Any price suggestions would greatly help. I just want to know before I step into the store and know if it's a reasonable price that they offer..omegawatches/gents/sp...31130445101002Thank you!
