Piaget G0A35090 wrist watches news:
Hi, i'm new here today.....I am not sure about the new PP Seal.....whilst i understand it goes well beyond the Geneva Seal, its not independent.2 committees within PP administer the new Seal, with, apparently the authority to stop production if necessary.Whilst PP has proved beyond ALL doubt of their ability to consistently make exceptional quality watches;i just cannot help feeling a little uncomfortable about this situation.I think it may have been better to co-operate with SoG to develop a new standard which could still be independently verifiable. What do you think????
When your collection grows into dozens of watches, you sometimes find yourself standing indecisively in front of them, trying to decide which watch to wear. Often I'll wind and set as many as five before settling on one. So, I've decided to try something different:THEMES!Each week, I'll pick a theme, and every watch I wear that week (work week) must follow that theme. I started out with small 30s/40s Tonneaus a couple weeks back. That was so much fun the next week I did US-Built Elgin Automatics, finishing the week with my Bumper. Last week, since it was short, I made it Hamilton week, and wore my three US-built Hamiltons (I also have a Swiss one from post-1969). This has been fun (and saves me the minutes of indecision each morning), and I thought I'd share the results with fellow American watch lovers. This week's theme is Elgins 13/0 sized 711 Series! These were introduced in (I think) 1955, replacing both the 8/0 round and 15/0 tonneau shaped movements. They featured a flat h
He spent 45 minutes on the phone with me last night talking me through posting a watch shot...and it was successful He has infinite patience and is a good teacher. He would have made a good WW II navigator. Now I have about 22 watches to carefully photograph and post. I'll approach it slowy and carefully. I just wish my cameras focused closer. Thanks WW II Buff ol' pal. Appreciate you help and your patience.Art

Tried on a few PPs recently and can't make up my mind on the straps. The Calatravas have a very thin almost unpadded strap that doesn't feel sturdy ... The 5146 and 5205 straps felt a lot more durable and had a bit of padding. Any advice on after market straps for a Calatrava should I get one or what strap should I be looking for from the AD if I can get one there? Sorry for all the PP posts recently. Still trying to find the right one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
