I shall keep this short.The Da Vinci that I purchased 2 weeks ago, will not be sitting back on my wrist. Please see the threads on the IWC forum.Once it has been repaired it will go back to the AD, where it will be re sold.After a lot of deliberation I have decided,not to keep it.And yesterday I went to my AD and did a deal on a PP Y/G 5146. The PP that you see as my Avatar - but not the actual watch.Except that mine has a black strap.I hope that what I'm about to say is true. Vintage Connie PP or Seamaster?
I am on the fence: I have my eye on a really nice original 501 cal (19 J)Seamaster (1955) and a 1963 Connie Pie Pan (cal 561). I really like the style of the Seamaster (thick lugs, 2-toned silver dial with applied numerals on the 3,6,9 and 12), but like the pedigree of the Connie and its 561 movement. The Connie is quite nice too: silver dial with gold indices and hands. The Connie is $375 more (if the same price, I'd take the Connie hands down) and I can't make up my mind. Thoughts?

Price of Patek servicing?
Since I will get my 5712 monday, should have been today but nothing, UPS tracking says monday, big disappointment lol, I didn't want to ask before of the price of servicing, thinking that the astronomical price may stop me from buying.Now that my money is in the company's bank account and the watch inbound, what is the price for the normal 5 year servicing, with nothing wrong with the watch, and with no polishing (don't know with PP but with Rolex it's automatic, you have to refuse the polishing.So basically, open the movement, take it apart, oil it, maybe change a few parts a little worn out and put it back together.Are we talking 1000$, 1500$, or more?Am expecting around 1200$, hope I have it right, and it's not 2000$Thanks for telling me the bad news And how is the service? Heard excellent, some brands like Panerai the servicing is horrible, many owners get their watch back scratched, badly repaired, and they are not very polite, the big difference between the Panerai salon on Paris

Advise needed.....
Can anyone advise me how to submit a request for an extract from Patek's archives? I filled out the request form on their site, and first attempted to email it to the address on the site, however it was returned twice as an unknown address. I then attempted to fax it, also to the number provided by Patek, only to receive a busy signal time and again. Is snail mail the only real option? Thanks.
