Rado R 21.717.152 wrist watches news:
I'm not much of a chrono guy, but I've really come to appreciate the simple 2 sub-dial (3 and 9) layout of a few models out there. Mainly, the Patek Philippe 5070. I simply love the look of that watch. A 'vintage' look yet very modern. You know, this one:Unfortunately at about $75K I'm not looking to add it to my collection anytime soon.. It got me looking & thinking, what other brands and models are out there that have the same look. Something with the sub-dials at 3 & 9, maybe a date and nothing else. I found a few, but not too many. The closest one seems to be the GP 1966 Chronograph, though it's still got a bit of a heafty price tag.and the Glashutte Original Senator Chronograph XL isn't too far behind either.Of course the A. Lange Sohne Datograph is up there too, both in looks and price! After that, they seem to become more 'sporty' and a bit less dressy looking. How reliable are the ROO divers? I mean any issues I should be concern about? Can the watch/movement take some abuse? I saw this video on youtube which got me thinking: https://.youtube/watch?v=oN4TY7opDyo
Hi.I am thinking of selling my Rolex Daytona 16520 white dial and buy the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500V blue dial. Stupid of me?
Got the call on Wednesday, AD said they would keep it aside they didn't require deposit, however I insisted on paying a deposit to ensure it wasn't going to anyone else! They also had a GMTII on display and a non date sub in the safe that I just missed out on.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Rolex website only shows one option for YG Daytonas on Oysterflex:But I swear I've seen at least two other variants on the forum: one all black dial, and another black with yellow subdials (panda style). Do those exist? Did owners just happen to stumble upon those dial options at an AD, or were they custom orders? It's frustrating that Rolex don't show all options on the site, especially as seeing a Daytona at an AD is a near-impossibility these days.
