Rado R22851163 wrist watches news:
For 2014, the Hyrdomechanical Horologists (HYT) will release new color and material versions of the H2 watch that they originally released in 2013 (hands-on here). If you recall, we really liked the H2, so much so that we included it in our list of top 10 watches for Baselworld 2013. The H2 is a higher-end version of the H1 (hands-on here), that was the debut model from HYT and combined a traditional mechanical movement with a liquid indicator for the hours. There are going to be three limited editions for 2014 and here we will cover the two that use new liquid colors. The new 18k white gold and titanium H2 watch offers a new look for the popular model with a lovely blue, versus green, liquid hour indicator. Next, is a platinum & titanium model with a cool red hour indicator liquid. The movement in the H2 looks like a piston engine and is produced in collaboration with Renaud & Papi, though they aren't involved in the liquid system. With 192 hours of power reserve, it has a retr
The Techn¨¦ Sparrowhawk II stands out in the inexpensive chronograph market. It is a well-executed aviator with sharp styling, great build quality and the added perk of an interesting movement at its heart. At $269 one does not usually expect something unique, but Techn¨¦ manages to pull it off. The aviator market is fairly saturated, with offerings from brands across the price spectrum, from Timex to Steinhart to Bell & Ross. It's a look that does not change very much from brand to brand, but the Sparrowhawk II achieves something refined, that is clearly an aviator, yet not derivative. ?Combine this with the Meca-Quartz chronograph within and you can begin to see how the Sparrowhawk II is more that just an affordable watch, it's genuinely innovative.Case: PVD Coated 316L Surgical Stainless SteelMovement: Seiko VK63 Meca-Quartz ChronographDial: Black w/ Off-White indexesLens: Mineral w/ AR coatingCase Back: ScrewdownStrap: Khaki CanvasWater Res.: 100mDimensions: 41.5mmThickness: 11.7
DHL brought my Boulton back to me Wednesday, along with two other watches that I will have to post something in the Japanese and Asian Forum. The watch has a brand new movement and this time, I did not remove any tags until I saw the thing working all day yesterday, overnight and into this morning. All is well with the watch and now with me.For a little background and informational purpose here is the history on this watch. Last month I ordered the Boulton (Gray Market) from Bluedail. I have used them for several purchases and never had a problem before. They have free 2nd day shipping which was always a plus too. I got the watch and after setting the time, it seemed to be working fine. I then very stupidly clipped the tags off the watch, took some pictures and proudly posted them here. Wore the watch the rest of the night and then took it off and set it down. The next day I noticed the watch stopped. I re set the watch and it was ticking away again. Set it back down and it seemed to r
