Rado 100.0322.3 wrist watches news:
As you know, I bought a Gruen triple date off ebay last week and it wasn't quite the item describe. In the listing, the movement was described as serviced and the condition of the watch "very fine to pristine."I sent it into my watch guy because the date hand didn't work and he sent me this back today:" I also received the Gruen triple date and took it apart for cleaning. I'm actually surprised you weren't having more trouble with it. It appears that both screws for the day and month wheels are stripped and/or the holes in the calendar plate they mount to are stripped. I'm thinking the latter as they do look rather chewed up, but it's hard to say for sure. Two of the other screws in the calendar mech also don't appear quite right to me. In addition, two of the three small screws that hold the calendar plate to the base movement are missing. Those probably won't be too hard to replace with something generic. The day & month wheel screws are a different animal...they are should
Hey everyone, i'm just starting on a project for a very good buddy of mine, and since i thought this up a couple of months ago, i wanted to make it, and now i got a chance, finally :) There is nothing really set in stone yet, we are figuring out what would be the best movement for this watch (we want off center seconds but not sure about a date complication), and the dial finish is still in talking too. However, we are very sure about the case. Anyway, one of the options for the movement (besides 6498, 2895 and peseux 7046) is an AS 1130, which i fell in love with some time ago. I have a bunch of these movements here, most of them were 'for parts or repair' , so i took them apart and was able to put together three working pieces with antishock. They are all Frankensteins that will need refurbishing, new finishes and plating and even though i'm not sure i will use it in this watch, i started the work on one of them today. I'm thinking even if we don't use it, i can use it elsewhere. And

Hello all. Wanted to get everyone's opinion on which 5960p dial you would prefer if you had to choose one. As most of us know, the black dial is more rare due to its short production run, wanted to see what your thoughts and opinions are of the three dial colors: black, blue and gray and why. Is it safe to assume the gray dial has the longest run and is most readily available? Thanks in advanceWillieHere are photos borrowed online:
