Jaeger LeCoultre 183 T1 70 wrist watches news:
Hey PalsIt's often said that the " Grail Speedy Pro " is the rare automatic version produced in 1987. I'm referring of course to the 376.0822 as pictured below.
Guess what I got in the mail today.Looks like it took a dip in the PO¡¯s double caramel macchiato. This is after some work with toothpick and fingernail. Not as good a bargain as Salleh's. I paid at least $10 just for the scratched up conical crystal. It's really hard to get a good photo with that on.I¡¯ll even bet Doug knows what the next step is for this little beauty. Am I too far gone if I hunt down a watch based on a dial I have in my parts box?Joel
I recently purchased a Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic (H7-685387). I asked the salesperson if I needed to wind the watch any. He asked if I'd wear it most every day (yes), and if I would wear it while I slept (no). He said to wind it 40 times after I bought it, then said I might want to wind it maybe 10-15 turns every 3 or 4 days, just to be safe.Does that sound like good advice? I have a desk job - lots of computer time, and will not be playing handball while wearing the watch (that's a joke....I won't have an unusually high "wrist turning" activity rate).I'm still reading and trying to learn more about accuracy - I realize my main purpose for buying the watch is because of the mechanical wonder it is (and this model's styling). Again, just wondering about the wind it twice a week advice. I've had the a few weeks - seems to be +8 seconds per day. I've given it 10 turns on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Thanks in advance.
Hi Everyone...I Recently Purchased a Seiko and Had it modded by NE Watch WorksDurate, is very fast, so I highly recommend him to anyone thinking about a mod.. This is a Seiko007/Monster, I ordered the Dial from Mk ii, I ordered the Charter ring from Motor City Watch works.. The Watch has a Glass bead blast finish.I also decided to strip the black bezel paint.. What do you guys think? I decided against using any bright colors.. Not that I don't like em.. But I thought things like Bezel paints, and Orange hands would distract away from the Beautiful Dial.. bb2.jpgbb.jpg
Well, not much time ago, I acquired FC diver, but my longing to ceramic case made me another move. Thanks to Thanh a.k.a Takuya, I have tasted the world of AP ceramic case!Love FC diver, but the weight and balance of ceramic case is just fantastic. The sapphire back is another value-add where I can see the beautiful 3120 movement. Well, I'm not a big fan or specially looking for sapphire back all the times, but having a sapphire back in diver is always cool. Originally was looking for 26402CE, but some reasons, 44mm casing does not well fit on my wrist (maybe I did not pay much attention since it was briefly few seconds on my wrist in boutique). Well, next time!Anyway, another beautiful AP piece and definitely keeper!
