One of the coolest tourbillons we saw at SIHH in January was A. Lange & Sohne's Richard Lange Tourbillon "Pour le Merite."? This is the watch, designed after a 19th century pocketwatch (pictured below), that has a dial that is only fully visible during half of the day.? The point of the disappearing dial? Simple, really. The folks at ALS just want the wearer of this Pour le Merite to be able to view the fantastic tourbillon that he or she is paying for.The Richard Lange Tourbillon is a regulator, with the minutes being displayed on the top dial while hours on bottom right, seconds via the tourbillon at bottom left. During the hours of 12-6, half of the hour dial is missing to display the full tourbillon.? Once the watch hits 6, the dial pops back into place and a full circle is displayed again.? As this is a "poure le merite" watch, it is driven by a fus¨¦e and chain transmission to ensure regular power delivery while the watch is being wound and as it works through its power reserve.On

Greetings to all Omega lovers! I recently joined up over at the Hamilton forum but thought that I would join you all as well despite owning only one Omega. It is the mid-size SMP, 2252.50. A b-day gift from my wife three years ago. I LOVE this watch and it gets alot of wrist time. As much as I enjoy my Hamiltons, this piece is truly the bees-knees. Some day I hope to get the mid-size AT with silver face. Still need to convince the Mrs. on that, however

Breitling wall clocks
I am a pilot and i travel to several different FBO's and i have seen breitling wall clocks in several locations. i have inquired on how to purchase them, how ever nobody seems to be able to give me a straight answer.. they are generally about 12 inches by 12 inches.. looking for help

Does the SS Pepsi look cheap?
Hi ladies and gents, don't know if this was discussed before... (mod, if so, please close) Last night me fianc¨¦e was freeing up storage space on my work phone (its an iPhone and I hate that thing - that's why I have no clue how it works ) and she saw I had some pics of the new SS Pepsi on it. She asked me if I liked it, to which I replied that I already signed up for it/put my name on 2 lists. Her comment: Why? It looks absolutely cheap. I said: It doesn't, wait till you see it in person. While I usually don't care too much what other people think, this made ME think. I have to say that I've never seen the WG version, which has the same bezel, in person.So what do you think? Planned Maui vacation, unplanned first Rolex purchase
A luxury vacation in Maui last week delivered all the sun, beach, and 'chill' one expects when committing to an expensive but well worth the money Hawaiian respite. Fair to say that some basic shopping is expected also right? How about an impulsive purchase that doubles the actual dollars spent to take the vacation? I noticed the Rolex dealer after several Mai Tai cocktails at Lielanis's On The Beach happy hour. I innocently went up the stairs toward the men's room on the shops level and noticed the Rolex dealer. I didn't exactly stumble in, but I did have lots of rummy courage when I told the salesman to make me a deal and I would walk out with a new Submariner. He did and I did.
