Rado 120929 wrist watches news:
I just saw this new listingHamilton Model 986A 17 Jewel Wrist Watch #4 - eBay (item 160424848876 end time Apr-24-10 17:48:01 PDT)It doesn't appear to be an obvious attempt to make it look like a legitimate Hamilton - just a punch of different parts cobbled together
Despite having this watch for a few months, it's now correct and running:It's a 1955 reference 2748-6 manual wind caliber 266:At 36 mm wide, it's not only perfect for me, it's also nearly 2 mm wider than the average Omega watches of the era. It wasn't so hot when I bought it:Nasty redial. No worries - thanks to a stock of parts at WatchCo in Australia there's a NOS dial on it now!And I can keep the old bad redial for the markers - seems like there's a bit of a need for them in pink gold so it goes in the parts bin.
Well, I'm trying to bide my time until I'm ready for my 5135. To help with that, I took one of Milos' photo's, extracted the 5135 & made a pair of Christmas wallpapers for my iPhone.. Now I can look at "my" 5135 every day Thought I'd share it with you all - feel free to save it to your phone. I'm assuming Milos doesn't mind me hawking his photo.. (thanks pal!) so here you go all. Personally I like the first one the best, the watch goes good with the gold-tomes of the decorations. Though the 2nd is more colorful.PS - I enjoyed it so much I may make a few other model versions

Hi guys,My SS Diver is now 18months old. I successfully sent away for the 3rd year sticker for my warranty book. I'm guessing now is the time for me to send it in to AP?Questions are,1 is there a cost for this service, 2 do I send direct to AP (how/where?) or via an AD, 3 do I include the warranty booklet, 4 will they service the watch/ polish the case or is that a cost option5 and how long will the process take Thanks so much
