Seiko SNK655 wrist watches news:
I have a 16013 two tone, white face and gold roman numerals. The bracelet has the expected stretch for its age. I was considering a sale or trade but now I'm considering putting it on a strap or deployment. Any thoughts or great color suggestions. Photos?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I finished a nice Waltham transition bumper today so I thought that I'd share. The clean 15 jewel movement is from 1902 making it 109 years old! Nice and big size 0s movement. The case is VERY nice, it's a stainless steel Illinois Watch Case Company bumper. I worked on the case for about two months on and off, it was in pretty bad condition when I got it and had some bad gouges on the side and case back, had to sand this one down to get them all out. The back of the lugs still some wear but I don't like to hit these very hard as you run the risk of breaking one off. The dial is nearly perfect, no hairlines or cracks. New crystal. I also installed a genuine Alligator band not that cheap grain stuff, spending more on a high end band is well worth the money and really makes the watch stand out.
Found a Patek, Philippe & Co pocket watch in a Patek, Philippe & Co marked case at a "yard" sale of a deceased watchmaker. Was wondering if it is for real. Here are the specs:Movement Serial Number - 105477Size - No 0Case - Engraved No. 105477 Patek, Philippe & Co Geneva on inside flapCase - also engraved July 20th, 1897Case number - 218745 on the inside back cover
Hi all, has anyone here know a legit good reputation shops in Toronto where I can find a nice selections of preowned AP?
I've gotten a quote for right at 20% off Elementsin Time NYC on a PAM312. That was their first offer so thought I'd ask if it's the norm to get a little more than that off Panerai's site? Does this model have any downsides for a first purchase in any of your opinions? I really like just the plain PAM 112 but also like case back crystal and automatics in general; although, I could see myself being perfectly happy with the manual wind 112 if that makes any sense. Would be more of a connection with the watch to some extent. Any opinions or thoughts greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time!Alex
