Seiko SNK601 wrist watches news:
Hello to all Hamilton Forum members. I am very pleased to have found a Hamilton forum, especially one that has lots of vintage fans. I've been in love with Hamiltons since my early teens and got my first in 1992. It was a white gold plated Ventura that my mom bought me for high school graduation and it still sees frequent wrist time. I would like to post pictures of my Hamilton collection and was wondering what kind of cameras people here use. I'm not a photo guy and only have a simple Sony digital for snapshots (I've tried it with my watches to no avail). Anyhow, happy to finally be posting here. Since I can't post a photo I will simply share a list of my current Hamiltons (the search continues!). Best to all from California...Vintage:Sea-Lectric II (circa 1966 - beautifully restored last year by Rene Rondeau)Sebold (1964 new old stock)Perry (1931)Gary (1962)Stanford (1941)American Classics:Ventura (white gold)Piping Rock (white gold 1928 NY Yankees)Ardmore Linwood Viewmatic L
We were in one of the upscale local malls and discovered that over the last year, several specialty watch boutiques have opened. The had shops for Tag, Panerai, Hublot, Cartier, Tiffany, Omega and some other shops with multiple brands. We visited the Tag, Panerai, Omega and Hublot stores.I was wearing wrangler khaki shorts and an old navy t-shirt with Sketchers running shoes. My 14 yr old was her cute self. While visiting the shops, I noticed a huge range of friendliness: The Panerai salesman was the least friendly as if he was convinced that there was no way on earth that I could possibly buy one of his products. He was snobby and very reluctant to show me the model that caught my eye. (I did find one I really liked though)The Tag salesman was a little snotty at first but warmed up when we started talking watches and he realized that I was a WIS. I actually found out that the blue and white Monaco looks great on me. :) The saleswoman in the Omega store was more receptive and
I have a 26320 which might need service. I have tested it over several days , the first day it lost 47 sec the next day it was 1.35 min ahead , it gained 2 min ????3 day its still ahead with 39 sec. The last 3 days its been on my wrist , i also tested it while it was in the drawer , here it mainly lost time. Power reserve is at 35 hours. Its almost 3 years with only 1 month of warranty left. Ive had a few AP and almost all of them need attention within the warranty period ? Is this really so common ?
A lot of people ask questions about if XYZ watch fits an X wrist. Out of interest I thought I'd post a couple of images and see if people can guess my wrist size. The Submariner is my watch and the Daytona is one I tried on, which hadn't been sized.
