I understand that many of us has special memory ( sweet or bitter ones are welcome ) that has something to do with ...of course ...= our watches ( WIS aaah.. ), I really hope that we can share by posting our watch(s) picture(s) here with our memory tag on itIm still waiting for my 1991 seiko chronograph from the AD downhere to revive it back as it does hv a lot of memory of my wife and I almost 20 years ago..appologize if this request has been posted beforebut wouldn't it sweet to have those memory flashed back again ? best wishesPete J

Another Speedy and Houston Connection Thread
I didn't want to barge into the other Speedy and Houston thread, so I thought I would start my own. If you are a WIS you might find this interesting.If you read my Speedy and Archive Question thread you know something about my 105.012-65.003. But here is my Houston connection.So the guy I bought the watch from says he bought the watch from the daughter of the original owner after the original owner passed away. She says her father bought it new at the same store in Houston where the astronauts got their watches (Corrigans?) right around the time of the Gemini space flights. He lived in Houston for 30 years, moved to London for about twenty years (where it might have gotten it's .003 movement) and then back to Houston before he passed away. My seller lived in Houston and bought it from the daughter in Houston. After I bought the watch I texted the seller. Knowing the watch did not have box or papers, but knowing the watch would come in a box with a return address from Houston, I asked

A walk on the Grey Side
A couple of days I got a call from the Omega boutique I frequent and my man there says he has a Grey Side of the Moon coming in, and that he's going to hold it for me. Normally, I'd dash over the second I hear something cool is coming in but since work had me buried, I told him I'd come in on the weekend. Naturally, the anticipation over the next day and a half built up to the point where I was going to lose my marbles. Thankfully I survived and finally hit the boutique earlier today.Now, brace yourselves. As much as I've been looking forward to this watch and thought I'd immediately buy it, I wasn't completely sold. I don't know if I built it up too much in my head but it didn't have the same effect that the DSOTM had one me when I first saw it. I suppose this is naturally considering it's basically the same watch with a few cosmetic differences. Don't get me wrong, it is lovely but it didn't have enough to hook me immediately.
