This one is for the fans of the show Heroes. I recently discovered that the Sylar watch that lent its name to the Sylar character was a modified Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. Looking for my 2nd Patek. I've seen several 3940 under 50k used, and one New Old Stock about the same. The 3940 replacement, 5140 is priced almost 90k. Is the new model really worth the difference? Even with all the recent price increases from Patek I'm haveing trouble grasping this much of a price spread. Any opinions?

Sea Dweller 43mm vs Explorer II long term value
This is the first thread I have ever started so please ignore any improper or silly questions. I am also very new to nice watches and really need the opinions and help of those much more knowledgeable and experienced than I am. I have enough saved to buy another watch and am having trouble deciding between the new SD 43mm or the Explorer II 42mm. I have all the technical and price difference so guess my question is simple. I would love to say I will keep this watch forever and pass it down to my son someday, however, I can't say that for sure. In your opinion, which of these watches will hold or increase in value the best in the next 5 or 10 years? Is one a better long term investment than the other. Thanks so much.

16610LV The real 50th Anniversary sub???
Hi all,With the price of these beautiful watches increasing and in high demand it's interesting to see the price variance between the flat 4 and pointed 4.The big question is which year is the genuine 50th Anniversary watch?The first 16610LV's were sold in 2003 but the first sub was released in 1954 at Baselworld so a 2003 16610LV would make it 49 years since the first sub so it begs the question are the 2004 model/purchased 16610LV's the genuine 50th Anniversary models and the ones that are most desirable? This would make the F series the genuine 50th Anniversary watches???Thoughts???
