Breitling A17365D1-C915BLPD3 wrist watches news:
Hi....All,and thanks to all those that replied to my original post, concerning my Wenger GST,7750,and it running very fast.I have posted a link to the original, thread if anyone wants a look. I have good new to report. After calling around, and finding there were no longer any "Watchmakers" in the neighborhood.I had relented to the idea that I was going to have to,send my watch off,to even have a simple look see,at what could be the problemDoing some exploring on my own,I came up with a jewelery store, about 35 miles away, that indeed did, have it's own in house version of a watchmaker.. Two of them as a matter of factUnder the same roof. Come to find out,the store is owned by a watchmaker, and his dad,had taught classes, for over 40 years,at the local college. The short of it all is..For the store charge of $10.00.I had found out and had corrected a over oiled, stuck together Hairspring. The demagnetizing was also done just to say I did while there.... Yes sir..$10.00..I gladly gave the man a
So I have always seen warnings about Franken Watches on online auctions and such. I was wondering about possibly creating a one off watch of my own. Not in an attempt to create the next big thing, but in an attempt to learn more about the watchmaking process and kind of dive in headfirst. My initial thought was to buy a super cheap import from Ebay and take remove movement, hands, dial etcto see what makes it "tick". From there maybe create a one-off dial and have something to show for my learning experience.Has anyone here done such a thing? Where would you get a dial printed? Am I a moron for even thinking of this? I swear I haven't started drinking yet today.
Are these threads allowed? lol I couldn't think of a witty enough title so I froze and thats what I came up with. Thought it was rather humorous.I just bought a couple Invictas this month 8926c5621just bought a Seiko SND219 this morning so its on is way. I plan on getting an Alligator or Ostrich black leather band with white stitching for it.I have an Emporio Armani AR-0243 (first decent watch) and a cheapo classic G Shock DW5600E-1V that has proved to be virtually indestructible except for the resin band that lasted 6 years through hell and back and through several hurricanes and work thereafter.Ive wanted to start collecting watches for awhile now simply because "I like watches". enough babbling here are few pictures..and this one isn't my picture but I just got a good deal on it this morning for $76 shipped from worldofwatches.com

As some of you know I am planning on getting a Patek. It seems that it's going to be a 5712G on a leatherstrap. (Not quite decided yet) I have relatively small wrists and am worrying that the clasp will not be centered becaurse the strap only can be shortened at one side.Is this corret? Will Patek deliver other sizes without extra cost or does a shorter strap have to be speial ordered? Thanks!
