Seiko SUR155 wrist watches news:
I know one is a chronograph, however they are near each other in price. I want a RO as my next piece but I don't want to settle for the 15400. Anyone's opinion and why would be appreciated.
Hi everyone.I saw the Dark Side at an AD and fell in love! I can't get it out of my mind. However the only hi end watches that I own are Rolex and Panerai. I'm having a hard time justifying how expensive it is. I can get the Dark Side for quite a bit off retail but it's still up there. My question is how do Omega hold their value? In particular how to you think the Dark Side will hold value over time? I've never had this concern about a Rolex. I'm debating getting rid of my GMT C and I've already turned my Panerai. Thinking about three watches for my collection. Sub no date, SS Daytona, and the Dark side. Thanks!
I sent my Planet Ocean Chronograph in last week for repair. The watch was acting funky to say the least. Keep time, stop running, complications would sometimes work etc. From what I understand they have had problems with this movement so I was not shocked. I just want to get a rough idea of the ETA. since this will hopefully fund another piece. BTW: Does Omega send the watch back polished?
I simply do not understand this watch or its purpose in fact it makes me quite angry - Patek grand complications have a certain status amongst the watch collecting community. They are aspirational watches, you have to be privileged and in a certain point / position in life to own one and are pinnacles of design purity. The SS 5960 in terms of Patek purity of design misses that mark by a long shot ( the hand design, the hour markers, the thick goggled calendar windows and that mirror surface bracelet are a collection of mismatches - it is a watch made for the masses that really in terms of design purity is very poor. A watch should be as good as it possibly can be and sadly for this piece this is not the case, you may argue certain design features look appealing but as a whole it is not the best it could have been, and that is what I expect from Patek THEIR BEST.I see so many brands dilute their propositions to appeal to broader customers, while this is all good and fine - for Patek I t
Can anyone tell me if the ends of the bracelet are hollow in these models? like the ends of the bracelet that touch the curve of the top and bottom of the bezel - is that hollow or solid in this model?thanks.
