Seiko SSB057 wrist watches news:
(Credit to the original image before edit: Patek Philippe S.A. )First of all - I love RG watches and I love 5960.....'P' that is. To be completelyhonest - my feelings about 5960R are a little lukewarm....Yes, still a gorgeouswatch, but RG case is so nice and warm...and I was hoping for a little moreclassic execution of the dial with RG case - no red.blue colors. When 5960P came out I hear a lot of people moaning about the blue and red color on the dial. Granted - not everyone's cup of tee butobviously a lot of people who were bashing 5960P warmed up to its design and I knowpersonally a few 'early bashers' that now own the watch ;)I never had a problem with blue and red on platinum dial, but I must admit that itlooks a bit strange to me on 5960R. I think that 5960R with a cream dial and less colorfuldesign of the chrono sub-dial could have been a knock out!OTOH - I think that the WG version with this same dial like 5980R has, with less contrasting chronosub-dial (when comparing to 5960P
I've been presented the opportunity to purchase this watch. I'm hoping it's a pre-1970 model, but can't seem to locate it in any of the reference catalogs. What's throwing me off is the lack of second markers on the dial. I've been provided the following information about its movement: 17 jewels, model #694A.Any help determining the model, year, and value (after repair, servicing, and addition of a new strap) would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.image.jpgFor a larger image . . . flickr/gp/rjfos/9vgM1Z
I have a question, I really like the ladies blue wave dial seamaster. Is this an automatic watch? I like the ladies version of the one Kyle has, if that helps. And if anyone knows, what sort of price would I be looking at to purchase one new? Is it as durable as my Rolex? Thanks, Kaya
Starting to get an itch for 5711. Post some of your favorite pics for inspiration. This always struck me as a cool photo. (Not mine!)
Apologies if anyone finds this blasphemous but when will PP ever sell a bigger size watch? I know this is a hot topic and secretly I hope someone can tell me of one but to be honest it's the only thing I need to complete my small but modest collection. If nautilus or calatrava was bigger I'd own one.Do you think things will ever change? Comments, advice and enraged comments welcome
