I don't know why, but I seem to come across some decent deals on watches on my wish list at this time of year. I was discussing what I should look for next with a few other vintage collectors from various forums after showing off (well, what else would you call it?) the 1968 Omega Seamaster 321. Todd (huntershooter) threw out an IWC caliber 89, which immediately went on the list. I miss having one after selling my stainless version last year and I vowed to replace it with a gold version sometime this year. I've also talked quite a few times about a vintage JLC Memovox now that I know how incredible Le Sentier's work is on their own watches. That hunt is coming along nicely and I'm about confident enough in my knowledge of the various case reference numbers and which dial/hand combos they match up with.
