Sinn 142 St II GZ Watch With Tide Chart Bezel
Sinn was pretty quiet this year at Baselworld 2010. I walked into their booth proudly wearing a Sinn watch myself to find not a soul that spoke English. Really Sinn? Actually, I can't be too surprised, the competent watch maker is a ghost in the United States. With just one authorized dealer (only online), Sinn watches aren't exactly common 'round these parts. But that shouldn't be the case. 2010 didn't have any super exciting new Sinn models that herald in a new era of "superman watch," but there area few interesting pieces. One is the U200 - which is a 'big boy's watch" for smaller wrists. And then there is this unique Sinn 142 St II GZ. An obfuscatory and odd name for a pretty interesting watch. In addition to the Dubois Depraz Calibre 2070 (base ETA 2892-A2) automatic movement its chronograph, synced 24 hour hand, and date, the watch has the first "tide bezel" I've ever seen.The interesting function allows you to set the bezel, and then figure out the tides in a given area for that

Is it worth my time to drive 3 hrs round trip to check this Auto Omega out?
Hi,I have been looking for a vintage Omega for a while but I always seem to get out bid. I guess i'm cheap ;) please don't hold that against me.Anyways, was put in contact with a gent 1,5 hrs from me who is selling a vintage Omega.It's been serviced within the past year is in good cosmetic condition, small scratch on the rear case Only markings 14K Gold Filled.Gent states it was his fathers purchased new in the 1950'sUnfortunately I cannot get decent photos from the seller. Attached are the ones sent to me.Is it possible to decipher the model type, movement ect from these poor photos.He's looking for $250 apx so if genuine well worth the drive.Much appreciated. what are you hoping to see next month @ basel?
im hoping for the day/date to be increased in size to 40mm and i would like to see a major upgrade with the sea dweller like a new ceramic bezel, maxi dial, and an increase in size to 44mm. i would also like to see some updates with the explorer II.....perhaps a bezel that can actually rotate. take care and have fun!aloha,brian

Hi all,I have located a black ceramic diver, and am ready to take the step and getting it.The seller is asking 19K in euros, 20.8K USD, and claims that the retail for it was 23.5K in euros, 25.7K USD, is that the real retail for the ceramic diver?If it is I suppose 2K less on a piece like this which was never available with real discount, is not a bad deal, what do you guys think?I am still hesitating a little, so if some owners, yeah you also Ben can post pics and tell me how they love their's it should make me get it 100%.Anyways I emailed the seller, and am waiting for his response, but will probably call him this morning to get to know if it's still available, hope it is.So if it's available and if I get it I would have 1 sporty dressy Patek, and 1 sport AP, seems to me like a nice little duo, what do you think?Here's pic of the AP and the PP, not mine I take crappy pics, but of course if I get the diver you'll get real crappy pics with my diver and I'll throw in a few 5712 pics a

What Happened to Panerai Local Dealers??
Good Morning all....Years ago when I was fist got into wearing Panerai around 2006-2007 there were a bunch of local Panerai Authorized Retailers. Went back to Rolex in 2012 and took a break. Recently I have rekindled my love for Panerai and noticed all of the local dealers have vanished? What happened? Were the dealers pulled from Panerai or did they give up on selling them??Thanks in Advance...Steve S.
