TW Steel CS41 wrist watches news:
I was given a Seiko reference model number SNF177P1 (B00047XVIC) When I typed in the model number SNF177, more hits came up, but no battery info. Also the other number, in parenthesis that I found goes to the SNF177, but still no battery info! It is the same watch. Not sure what the P1 stands for! It is a 3/4 stainless steel mans watch with a steel jewelers clasp steel band. Problem is it does not have a battery in it. I took it to a couple of places and they said that without the specs or a prior battery in it, they cannot tell what battery goes in it. Is there a master Seiko model/battery list that anyone knows of on the net or otherwise, where I can identify what battery model number goes in this watch. The watch is almost brand new. Not sure why the battery is missing, but I am trying to get it to work. Also do not have the instructions that came with it, that may have extensive info on watch. If anyone knows where I can get this, please help as well. Can anyone help?
Hello, Shouldn't retail prices for IWC pretty much be standard in all countries? I've been watch hunting in Manila and found that after applying the exchange rate, prices here are significantly higher depending on the model!
As I get deeper into the vintage market, I have noticed that no matter which brand I look at, some watches have signed crowns while others don't. Not really a big deal, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason for why this is. Some of the higher end watches will not have a signed crown while a lower end watch will. So what gives here? What does a signed crown represent and does it have any real meaning?
Warming up for the week end with three "new" vintage pieces today.Furthest to the left is a King Seiko 4402-8000 from 1968. Middle one a Grand Seiko, no date, 5641-7000 from 1971. Finally, a 4522-8000, hand wound 36.6000 bph from 1968. The last one has a very speedy date change which I particurlarly like. A few more pictures below. Enjoy!
I have a TAg Heuer Prototype case from the early 90's which had a Quartz Ronda movement in it. Some of you may have heard of the RLT 29. I would like to put an automatic movement in there and wondered what would fit, if any or am I stuck with quartz?Across the case is 40mmDepth from top of crystal to base of case back is 11.5 mmAlso has a tag Screw down crown (which I have)Thanks for your suggestions
