Patek Philippe 4809 wrist watches news:
Why? The hands are on so tight (especially on the chronographs) that they are very difficult to remove without damaging them. The easiest way to handle them is to just tear them off and charge the customer for a new set.The fact is that a good watchmaker can remove and replace them without doing any damage. There might be good reasons to replace them, but why if they still look new? Here's a couple of before and after overhaul pics I posted in the General Discussion Forum. And 3 1/2 hours later (with many interruptions). The hands on this baby would have cost this customer an extra $85, but the originals were used.Steve
I don't know because of what reasons (probably I didn't search in the right places the right way) but I couldn't find pics of Grand Seiko, and very few of the OM. So, I never have seen good quality pics of either. Please oblige and post some pics of these quality Japanese watches (or give me the relevant links)Thanks
I have a steel 5712 and I love it. I was offered a blue 5711 which I like a lot, but keeps me wondering if it makes any sense to own two quite similar Pateks. What do you think?

I have been looking for a used 116508 Gold Daytona with a white face and I am being told that there is very limited inventory now and the new ones are also in limited supply. I always thought that the only Daytona that was hard to get was the stainless. Am I missing something here?
