1927 Hamilton round wristwatch
You guys have been so helpful, and I was thinking about returning this eBay purchase that just showed up today. It's from 1927, and the pictures on the auction didn't show the wear-through on some of the bottom edges of the gold-filled case (at least, I missed it). I haven't been able to locate any pictures of a watch like this from this vintage; it has the 986A movement and is not a cushion.. all the examples I've seen are cushion or not round. Is this an unusual enough style to consider keeping despite some of the wear on the case? Inside the case says Keystone Victory, and it looks original.Thank you!

My journey with Omega
Since we have quite a few members (new and veteran) that are taking an interest in vintage I thought I'd try to share the path I've taken to get where my Omega collection is today from when I first joined WTF. I can't illustrate it before then because..... well, frankly I didn't bother with pictures before forum life and I didn't own many Omegas anyway. When I found WTF I had only one modern Omega - a 2504.80 Aqua Terra mid-size:It lasted over 2 years in my collection, but because I could never get the bracelet to fit comfortably I finally broke down and sold it. Gorgeous watch though, and if it had micro adjustments on the clasp I would still own it. That's the whole story for newer Omegas. On to the vintage! My first few watches were what most would consider 'starter pieces'. Here's an early 60's Seamaster De Ville with a manual wind caliber 611:A very nice watch that went to a forum member, and was recently replaced with a much less common version to be seen later on in this

Loving my new Breitling Superocean Steelfish.
I have been on the search for a Breitling Steelfish for a couple of weeks, my regular AD was out on the dial I wanted but another store had it on a strap, my Ad asked me to hold out on the other guy and give him a couple of days, as usual he comes through. found me a Steelfish on bracelet for less than what the other guy was charging for it on leather I wanted an everyday brushed watch that was on the simpler side IE no chrono and with a white or black dial. My choices were between the Omega Seamaster and the Breitling Steelfish for around 1900USD (my limit). Decided to go with the Breitling simply because I like the design better and I did have and sell a Seamaster before.Now that it is on my wrist I dont know why I even considered the Omega. The Breitling blows it away completely!!! Here is what i really love about it:1- Best damn sapphire crystal I have ever seen. All Breitlings have amazingly good crystals, feels like I can reach in and play with the hands.2- The case is beau

Sweden has produced some beauties .. including this one..but you cant buy victoria off flea bay.. so bought this beauty, an omega suveran produced for the swedish market in 1945 by omega. I am really pleased with the condition of thios one and cant wait to give it a new home. Have been after one for a while but to find a good condition 60 year old watch is no so easy...:
