Seiko SNN263 wrist watches news:
Had my 17 year old Submariner serviced for the first time last May. Watch has been bullet proof over the years and was EVERYTHING I thought a Rolex would be. Great watch.Within about 2 months of getting it back I noticed it was loosing time. Approx 2-3 minutes per week. I called my AD who said the warranty on the "tune up" was good for 12 months. Since I have read that sometimes parts take some time to break in and the watch my loose time for a bit, I kept track of the time loss on and off over the next 6 months or so. I sent it back in to have this issue adressed well within the 12 month warranty period and I'm now told due to a "heavy shock" one of the springs is bent and they want $600 to fix it. They sited a chip in the crystal as proof. This is the same chip that was on there last year when they tried to sell me a new crystal and I declined. (we're talking MINOR chip)I called BS and asked the AD to check the previous notes and see what they would do....waiting for a resp
i'd like some help finding a nice watch for my wife.after looking around, it seems real hard to find aquality piece using an automatic movement.what's the reason for this? the small size?
I was doing some reading on another watch forum (not nearly as good as this one though) and read that some people felt that handwinding a 7750 was not a good idea. I have two Hamilton Khaki auto chronos and usually handwind them before i put them on (if I haven't worn them in a while) I hadn't heard that this was bad and I know some people just wear them to get them going. Since I take off my watch at night I don't want it to run down. Any thoughts?
Looking for a new strap for my 512, but the options from Panerai are limited for the 42mm size. Any suggestions for non Panerai brands?
Anyone wearing a sky dweller and found inconvenient when travelling difference time zone frequently? I guess there is Pros and Cons. GMT is useful and quick adjusted to local time by turning just the bezel while need to unscrew on the sky dweller when we get into different time zone. Especially inconvenient to frequent traveller.Any thought?
