Seiko SGF206 wrist watches news:
290 conponents? Did any of you actually know that fact before that ad came out? Did you know it took 5+ years to develop it's movement? I love how they include cool, arcane facts like those in their ads to add to the wonder of it all. Can anyone resist loving this ad? I know I can't. Luckily, I tried on Chung's a year ago and it doesn't work on my wrist. Whew I still love it in pics and ads. Do you?I wonder what percentage of the average public knows what a parachrom blue hairspring is? I'm guessing less than .001%, yet they casually throw it out there in their ad copy. Patek doesn't usually put such intense information in their ads, but Rolex sure does. I love that about them. They come off as a bit of a mystery in a way.Yellow gold and my reddish, pale skin aren't much of a good match, which is why I stick to stainless steel products (my checkbook is happy for that too)While this may be a cool pic...This is more me , my "baby"
Hello all!!Please see the attached photo of my fathers Longines. I am interested in finding out a bit about this watch. Does anyone know the Model Name, Year, and Number. I have not removed the case back for serial but would love a little info. I have been wearing it for several days. It keeps good time but the 'reserve' is a bit weak. If I take it off too early in the evening, it it wont stay running.Thoughts on Value (beyond the obvious sentimentality) are appreciated. Thanks - Joe
ever forget about some watches you own? like while going through the watch boxes, you find that some still have occupants? well I did.:D got way to many watches. have 6 display cases down stairs. yesterday was inventory day. also was moving the original boxes to another closet. a few boxes had contents. I forgot I went on a flieger buying spree in January.and a big surprise, a omega.
I am considering purchasing my first Omega and was wondering which model/models hold their value best? Thanks!
I have been interested in this watch, but unfortunately have not seen one in the flesh. I live in the 12th largest city in the US, but there is no longer a single Omega AD in town, and not even one within a few hours drive! So, I thought I'd see if anyone here has one, and find out what they think of it, and if they have any wrist shots etc.I am particularly interested in comparisons with a Datejust.
