Seiko SSC013 wrist watches news:
None of us pays MSRP. Why would we? Some are lucky enough to be close to ADs which are, shall we say, consumer-friendly. I was wondering therefore how we buy our watches. Hi,Can you tell me which watch is this ? Model No. & Movement. Thanks
I started reading about how magnetic fields can affect mechanical watches! This seems more widespread than I ever imagined! I suspected for quite some time that a couple of my watches were running way too slow or fast because of this.Reading articles on servicing watches, one of the first things the watchmaker does is to use a compass to see if the watch is magnetized before making adjustments on a watch that's running too fast or slow!Article after article warns you about the magnetic dangers from things in your every day life! In the drawer, there were a few small hand tools, screw drivers, allen wrenches, same thing. These things were sitting right ne

While I am a keen admirerer of the watches that Patek Philippe craft (some of the most beautiful watches ever to see the light of day), I can't help but feel frustrated by their famous slogan You never actually own a Patek Philippe, you merely look after it for the next generation. Sure, most people recognize it so seen from that perspective it does its job. However, it is of my persuasion that once I purchase a watch of this calibre, it is mine to keep. It is in my possession, meaning that I can do whatever I want with it. I can smash it with a hammer, throw it in a lake or give it to a random stranger. It is MY watch, I'm not just a temporary keeper of it. How do you feel about it?
