Four-time World Champion skier Bode Miller recently launched the new Hublot limited edition Bode Bang watch with a celebrity tennis match at Sutton East Tennis Club in New York City. The participants gathered to support Bode¡¯s relationship with the Harlem Junior Tennis and Education Program. Following the Celebrity Challenge, Bode led a basic tennis clinic with 50+ kids and then, along with Hublot, (on behalf of the Turtle Ridge Foundation) donated $10,000 to the organization. Best known for his skill on the slopes, Bode also knows his way around a tennis court. ¡°My family played a lot when I was growing up. If I wasn¡¯t skiing professionally I think I¡¯d be playing tennis.¡± Bode Miller and his family started The Turtle Ridge Foundation in 2005. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting health, diversity, and sustainable living through sports. In February 2009, Bode joined forces with Hublot to collaborate on design and development of the new Hublot Bode Bang limited edition

The original 4810 Automatic Chronograph can be seen here.More details, pricing and pictures to follow. After much deliberation and great exercise in willpower. (Hehe, I said willpower...) Anyway, I have been watching some of these vintage threads and pictures with a growing desire to give it a try. I figured I had two options:1. Go with a watch ready to wear out of the box. This means a little more $$ up front of course.2. Project watch. Less up front, in theory a little less in the long run.I was leaning toward a project watch - even had a bid on an old non-running Hamilton on the 'bay. My collection seems to be centered on the Hamilton brand and they have great heritage. There is also a wealth of knowledge on the forum regarding both Hamilton and resources for project watches. Then I saw a 1962 Hamilton Accumatic A-200 in beautiful shape. I pondered my options - and now have a beautiful (I think) vintage piece on the way.Sellers Picture:What a year - the collection has grown, I flipped an incoming watch (never even put it on my wrist), and have now dipped my toe in the vintage p
So trying to make a long story short I purchased a Oyster Perpetual about a year ago from a great seller here on TRF with warranty card included, though obviously with someone else's name on it.The watch doesn't wind anymore just simply starts turning the minute and hour hands so obviously a mechanical problem. No fault of the seller's nor myself.I took the watch to the NYC Service Center and they said the warranty was not valid because my name was not on the warranty card and I would need a bill of sale from the person who's name was on the card from the purchase at the AD.I then called them today (without saying I had been there day before obviously) with a hypothetical of having been gifted the watch and having everything for the watch other than the bill of sale and they said it would not be covered under warranty unless I had a letter from the person who's name is on the warranty card. So basically the same BS.Finally just to see if the stories I read on TRF were true I called the
