This is the best watch I have seen so far at Baselworld ¨C there, I said it. You may have read about the new Tudor Heritage Black Bay 36 yesterday ¨C well, I just had a chance to see it in person, and I can absolutely confirm that in the metal, and on the wrist, it's just as awesome as it looks in the official press images ¨C maybe more so. 1 OF 8 First of all, the Black Bay 36 wears incredibly well. The 36 mm stainless-steel case lies perfectly flat and is perfectly comfortable on both male and female wrists (as you can see from the pictures below). Just as importantly, it looks in proportion to the wrist, not overwhelming it or seeming too small. I find it so refreshing to see a 36 mm case from a brand I love that generally sticks to 41-43 mm cases, as I think this size really is the one that suits most (but not all) people. 2 OF 8 For her. 3 OF 8 For him. A little dial swapping on a Lord Elgin Meridian
When I first bought the Meridian, the movement wasn't working. I bought a working movement and dial to get it up and running.Here's what the new movement looked like.I was perfectly happy, until Genejockey found a treasure trove of Elgin ads in old newspapers.As you can see, in the ad, the Meridian has the Elgin logo below the name and Shockmaster along the bottom. Both of those are missing from the newer dial, but on the older dial.Luckily the dial on this watch is easily removed. So last night, I did a dial transplant (neither dial is perfect, and both have their blemishes).So now, at least the dial matches the ad.

First post. Identify my Citizen watch.
Hi all! This is my first post and I look forward to staying in the community for quite some time in the hopes to learn more about watches.Im new here and I already have a few Asian watches I hope you guys could give me some information on. First off is this Citizen watch. Can anyone tell me anything about it such as the model, year, rarity etc? Thanks!Also it says on the dial "21 jewels" right under the eagle logo with a number 7 on its chest.

How long does Tritium lume last?
I've recently seen a watch (in person) with Tritium tubes and it was quite impressive lume. I wasn't able to get an answer how long it would last. Half life for tritium is 12.32 years. Does this mean the lume would be half as bright in 12 years? Wikipedia says tritium costs $30,000 per gram and that it is basically hydrogen and therefore hard to contain. So...do tritium tubes leak? Can they leak?

5711/1R vs DD40
Does the PP wears bigger than the DD40? I certainly feel the 5711 is bigger. I have small wrist. I am thinking of adding a dd4o (60th anniversary green). Love to hear your thoughts on this! .. Jen
