Seiko Seiko 49601 wrist watches news:
One big reason to love vintage watches is because they tell us stories – they seem to represent the soul of their former owners, who trusted and loved their timepieces and wore them through thick and thin. In this regard, this chronograph from Rolex not only embodies an amazing life of both tragedy and heroism – it's a symbol of bravery and dedication to freedom as well. 1 OF 9 The Rolex depicted here is a reference 3525 chronograph from the 1940s, with antimagnetic properties. The reference 3525 was also famous as a Prisoner Of War watch, made available to captured Allied officers during the Second World War, as we covered here. Watches were made available to Allied POWs by many brands but Rolex is one of the best known for this service, and the 3525 chronograph was a solidly made, high visibility wrist-instrument with a Valjoux 23 column wheel chronograph movement and radium dial that would have been a both a welcome little luxury and a useful tool. Okay; So, a week ago, I asked about manual vs. auto Speedmaster and got the information from you all, that I expected to hear. It's obviously a classic Omega and I had to have it in my small but rapidly growing collection. So. Here it is! BNIB from an AD at a good price and I am happy with it. I am not however, happy with the picture, but it was the best I could do in the dark in my apartment.
We know, we know...no one really cares about the watch. But, if ANYONE cares about the watch, it's you guys. Can anyone ID the watch that Elsa Pataky was wearing at a recent press event for Fast Five? Thanks!
Hello TRF members,Any suggestion where one can get quality engraving done on the case-back? I couldn't find much info on the TRF threads. I am Dallas, Atlanta and Anchorage the most. Any suggestion for engravers in these areas. I am looking to get an image with light text engraved and it seems the engraving can be done by hand or by a machine! Suggestions which one might be a better option? How much does it generally cost? I have attached few links for the images to give an idea of what I am looking for. I couldn't find much pictures on the net or information about engraving case-backs for Rolex. Also, do the engraving requires the case-back to be removed or do they do it while it is on the watch?Thanks.fourtane/images/Blog%...600&height=600perpetuelle.wpengine.netdna-c...le-900x637.jpg
So I'm sure some of you have seem some posts or questions from me over the past few months or weeks about wanting the full on Rolex experience... going to NYC buying from a big AD and all.Well after making a few calls and checking stock around the city and getting feed back from some of you, I said screw it and made some calls to smaller local dealers and today at lunch I found a sub!So I skipped out of work a bit early and headed over and I am now a proud sub owner I have wanted a sub since I was 15 and now I can finally say I own one.I do have one question though, by the time I got home I realized I did not get the green warranty paper, I do have the card... do they still come with the paper that you sign or is that a older thing that doesn't get used any longer?Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
