I'm going to the moon,
:):) well, not really..but I am going to a place in the Big Bend Area of west Texas where I am told is so desolate and moon like in appearance that NASA had the moon mission astronauts train for the missions there.. I was also told a few days ago that many times the humidity levels are very close to zero..question, will my 2254 "dive" watch survive this sort of punishment? will it look silly to take pictures of a dive watch "on the moon"? don't I need a Speedy instead? I'm going to take a lot of picturesanybody ever been to this place?:):)diver88

Need advice... 35th Anniv gifts for Company owners!
It's my Company's 35th Anniversary and we'd like to present gifts to the two owners. Ideally we'd like to spend around $1,000 each.My first thought was personalized watches. Perhaps with the company logo and such. My fear is that's a bit tacky.Now I'm thinking along the lines of: - Purchasing custom watch winders with an engraved company logo and 35 years or something along those lines. - Using the remainder of the $1,000 (for each) on really (relatively speaking) nice watches.So. I need your help. Where can I get customized watch winders and what do you all recommend for watches (I'm a newbee). These are construction guys so nothing too fancy. More dress casual.Thanks!!!!Jim

And I feel sorry for those WIS who can't!!!Hand winders are cool because you have to interact with them on a daily basis to keep them going.Automatics are cool because they rely on you to keep them running ,once initially wound, simply by wearing them.Quartz are cool because of their independence and their ability to keep going without our support (for a couple of years at least!!)And let's not bypass the hybrid Kinetic which,although the power is generated through wrist motion (as an automatic) has Power reserve of 6 months when fully wound!!And of course the revolutionary "eco-drive" which can last for years without a wind OR a battery changeThis example (note the "solar tech" on the dial which preceeded eco-drive )hasn't disappointed in the 12 years that I have owned it!!And let's not forget the "perfect " watch.Spot on accuracy due to the reception of a signal from Ft.
