Seiko SGEF62 wrist watches news:
¡°Big in oversized watches¡± is the motto that defines TW Steel. Even at the earliest point of its career, the youngish Dutch brand proved a savvy early adopter of the large watch craze that ultimately transcended trends to become an enduring staple on contemporary wrists. TW Steel¡¯s models appealed because they engaged the lifestyle fashion aspect of oversized watches with bold, exciting designs, but with respectful nods to traditional watchmaking that garnered a second look from watch aficionados. That stemmed from from TW Steel's attention to features, fit, and finish well beyond the reasonable price points to aspirational experiments with automatic calibres that indicated an interest in elevating the marque to higher horological waters.Hitting at the right place at the right time has given TW Steel some notable followers. Take Kelly Rowland, for example. Rowland is best known as an original member alongside Beyonc¨¦ of the superstar R&B vocal group Destiny¡¯s Child, as well as a so
I think Audi is the brand to mostly thank for this new Sinn timepiece. Back in 2004 (ish) they worked with Sinn to create a couple of limited edition watches branded "Audi Design." Those watches (at least some of them) you can see below, and seem to be where this squareish, cushion case style came from. Now at the end of 2010, Sinn revisits this case aesthetic with the Model 902. A very interesting retro-futuristic watch with the heart of an aviator, and a designer body.At first I was a bit odded out by the case and dial style. It didn't remind me of the ruthless instrumental looks of Sinn watches that thematically resemble the cold gaze of a Doberman Pincher while on patrol. Rather, the Model 902 is what Hans straps on his wrist after pulling on a black turtleneck and affixing his perfectly round lensed glasses before reading over Teutonic existentialism. The era of idealist futurism from 1971 is where the design of this watch seems to have come from. Like the guy selling timeshares f
It's past 10:30PM and despite Baselworld opening to the press today, I just realized that today is March 25th !! WOW ! This date is always a little sobering day for me - similar to my birthdays....I can't believe that 'another year' just flew by.I remember like it was yesterday on March 25th 1987 when I landed at JFK Airport forthe first time as a political refugee.....Then I remember like it was really yesterdaywhen I bought this Worldtimer 2 years ago to commemorate my 20th "US Anniversary".(some of you maybe even remember my post on another forum when I got the watch to celebrate my 20 years here, back in 2007)....Oh well.....I am not trying to brag with the watch or sob about how fast we are all aging. It sure has been a fun ride...We all just have to make sure that we live the next day to the fullest and cherish our loved ones like it was the last one. It is really as simple as that !Cheers !
Hey all,Thought I would post up that the small community of WTF members here in Jordan had a successful get-together. Granted there were only two of us, but nonetheless it was a great time. We had a nice meal and a few beverages at a restaurant called the Blue Fig. We talked watches and a myriad of other topics for a few hours. I was joined by Omartab, who was sporting a gorgeous black and gold Submariner, and I was wearing my trusty beater, the Citizen 6400.
I'm looking to replace the back of what I believe is a 1956 Rolex Datejust 6605. Does anyone here have a lead on this part? The back has someone's rather sentimental engraving, which I'd like to remove.
