Seiko SRP445 wrist watches news:
A new luxury brand on the block is Manufacture Contemporaine du Temps (MCT). Luxury brands seem to be popping with regularity these days, so it's important to notice the unique elements of each. MCT was founded by Denis Giguet, a French engineer who has worked with watch greats such as Rolex and Harry Winston (among others). MCT debuts with its first watch, the Sequential One in a limited edition of 99 pieces. You can view the interview with him in the video below.Like many new avant garde luxury watch, the Sequential One attempts to stand out by presenting the display of time in a novel manner. In a way that is thematically similar to Urwerk watches, the Sequential watch relies on four aperture windows with revolving triangular panes (you can call them "prism shaped"), thus providing a total of 12 displays. The hours are displayed digitally on these aperture windows, while minutes are displayed in a retrograde fashion on a disc that shifts to feature one of the hour displays. In addit
I just looked at the antiquorum auction sight and was very pleasantly surprised to see that a large number of recent sales of the Zenith Daytona with complete sets have increased in price. I guess those folks that have been telling me that they can now be bought for 10K or less are wrong.
Enzo in a thread you have to log into gave us the pink lady (check it out it is worth it) and it our ramblings i got the idea that we should post pictures of tacky christmas trees or maybe even venturing into the trailer park zone. a watch would be added to the mix to make this thread a watch related thread. here is enzo's threadwatchtalkforums.info/foru...orum/45847.htmhere is my tree and watch but it is not a tree per se it is thefestivus poleone will need a rugged watch to endure the airing of grievances and feats of strenghts so here it is
Probably ridiculous questions, but with my luck I guess ill ask so I don't regret later. So I don't have a sports rolex watch like a sub, YM or GMT - which I guess are on a totally different level, I do have breitling superocean which I swam with many times and that watch is a tank. However with the new datejust I am a little skeptical. Is it safe to take it out for a swim in pool / ocean? Obviously no one can predict if bracelet links will come off, but rather in terms of water-proofness? Second question, wearing it in sauna - is that safe, in terms of steam entering the watch thru the seals?
Hi guys, I am heading to Tokyo next month for holiday. I am in search of a vintage 5513 or 1675 - would love to get one from Japan. I have a couple of questions:1. How are the prices like in Japan now compared to the rest of the world? I have been looking at some websites of AD/Grey dealers online in Tokyo, and the prices seem much higher than the average. For example, a good condition 5513 can go for 14k USD.2. Does anyone have any good recommendations of vintage rolex shops to visit? Will be staying in Shinjuku area, but definitely will be visiting Ginza, Shibuya, etc.Would also love any general tips/advice from you guys. Thanks :)
