Orient Excursionist Watch Winner Follow-Up
Please thank the winner of the Orient Excursionist watch from the August 2011 aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer watch giveaway for a follow-up image and comments. Congrats again to him:"So, and I've been looking forward to this, my Orient Excursionist was waiting at my doorstep today. The box was a little beat up - but that was UPS's fault. The watch inside was in another box, which was perfectly intact, protected by copious amounts of packing nuts. Orient packaged this watch nicely, in a presentation box with a riveted faux leather finish framing a stainless steel plate. My first impression of the watch was, "Wow, it's big!" But it really isn't, not after you put it on your wrist. (My wrist is quite narrow - I removed three links from the bracelet, and it's still a bit loose; still, watch is nicely proportioned and doesn't look out of place.)My previous watch was a Skagen, which I've been wearing for a while, so I'm really out of practice for such a chunky watch. 5960 or 5980?
Just got back from a nice dinner with a friend and we were talking about what elsewatches - and specifically Patek's. We were debating the 5960 and the 5980, trying to decide which would we choose, if we could only have 1 of them. My personal choice was the 5960. I personally love everything about the watch. That said, out of these two, which would would you personally prefer, and why? Calfee

I tried to resist....really, I did....for about 10 minutes. Then I emailed the seller and got the deal under way. This has been on my radar for a while, but always way too pricey for me. The price was very fair, overnight delivery at no charge, trustworthy seller, only a year old and in mint condition (not a scratch). AP Family Photos...post em!
I'm sure there's older threads with similar topics and I could have posted this in the Rolex General section but since I feel as though the AP Subsection is my online family, it only felt right to start it here. I travel a lot for work, which means that unfortunately I must part with my babies quite often. As I was getting ready for the usual trip to the safe deposit box before my departure, thought I'd snap a photo of all the boys together before they go back into the cold, lonely safe ...One always comes along though, and since I'm usually overseas, it's this one!I'd love to see all your family photos!
