Seems as though a few times a week I am informed about a new pilot watch. Brands like to talk about how this feature helps pilots with this, and how aviators love that. Apparently someone uses a slide-rule bezel, and being able to see 12 timezones at once is useful. Without knowing what people who fly actually use and need, it is hard for me to discuss these pieces on a level above being a watch nerd. It is for that reason that I am happy to have finally got a taste for flight, and what aviator watches are trying to do, and trying to emulate.I am far from a pilot, but I did get a chance to finally do something in the sky. Tutima graciously invited me to check out their airfield near Salinas California. Thinking about buying an Omega Seamaster Quartz...
I have been shopping around at different watch stores, and websites and I have determined that the Seamaster Quartz (blue dial/bezel like the watch Pierce Brosnan wore in GoldenEye) is the watch I'll probably purchase. Does anyone have any advice, know any questions to ask sellers going forward? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Diamonds on Rubber Strap Watches....
I've been noticing a trend of Rubber Strap watches having diamonds on the bezel, hour markers, ect....does this seem odd to anyone else? I know the comfort of rubber straps is gaining in popularity, but does it seem like putting diamonds on a bezel (i'm withholding brand and model) is the combination of two extremes? maybe it's my WIS peeve of the day....any thoughts?

WatchCo Omega
For years I've been itching for a WatchCo Omega Seamaster 300 nos/repoduction 1960's vintage diver. Have read all the search results, pros and cons, from a couple of forums and I'm considering rolling the dice.The one question I have'nt had any luck with is what to expect from Canada Customs regarding an Omega from Australia ? How big a $$ hit can I expect, and this is my OCD working overtime, could customs decide the watch is fake, not understanding nos, or reproduction with original parts ?Any imput, positive or negative will be appreciated.

Help me decide....
I am wrestling with a decision and was hoping to get some opinions. Note:Love all three references and looking forward to becoming a PP owner.I have a small handful of new and vintage Rolex, PAM, Seiko, etc. Same trusted seller for both options so both are safe buys.So here goes:Option A) A un-used, 2014, complete set...5146g (cream) and was thinking of adding a un-used 5167 (on rubber) to that order. A nice dress/sport combo. Option B)Came up at the last minute: A excellent/mint, complete set, several year old...5960p (gray) at a very good price. For an additional $5K (plus or minus), I can have the 5960p instead of the 5146/5167 combo. Do I wade into the pool with a combo or jump in with both feet with 5960?!
