Damasko is known for their metals and engineering, but they happen to also be one of the few manufacturers of in-house movements available under $5k. The article was written by Brett of Timeless Luxury Watches, which is a retailer of Damasko. ?This is neither a sponsored post or an advertorial, merely a guest post.Today I get to review two watches, and one movement, that I've been dying to see in person for a very long time. Those watches are the Damasko DK14 and DK15, and the movement is their extraordinarily advanced in house A35, one of two in house movements currently made by Damasko (although they modify others).Everything about these watches is unique to Damasko. The way the cases are made, the way the crown screws down, the gaskets, and of course, the movement. But it's not just another ETA clone manufactured in house.

I thought I had posted this before, but I cant find it,J.W.BENSON WATCH COMPANY HISTORY:J.W.Bensons started up as a partnership between Samuel Suckley Benson and James William Benson.About 1840,they were selling watches under the name SS & JW Benson,Cornhill,London.In Jan 1855,the partnership was dissolved and from 1855 to 1891 (according to R Good) or 1897 (according to NAWCC supplement 20) the company traded as J.W.Benson and the firm moved to Ludgate Hill,after which they became a limited liability company.They held royal warrants during the 2nd half of the 19th century,starting in 1876,for Queen Victoria,the Prince of Wales,the King of Siam and the King of Denmark.About this time J.W.Benson also had premises Royal Exchange and Bond Street,but it seems that neither of these addresses appeared on the dials of their watches.During 1889,J.W.Benson went on a buying spree,acquiring,Hunt & Roskell of London & Manchester,Silversmiths and Jewellers,and Sir John Bennett of Cheaps

Surprise Fathers Day incoming :)
First off let me say I honestly hadn’t planned on adding any watches to my collection so soon after my last few. My wife and son caught me COMPLETELY off guard and gave me this Christopher Ward C600 Tri Tech Diver Elite today for Fathers day. Talk about having a verklempt moment…I was and am stunned. And the watch is stunning too. Did I get scammed? Did the authorized dealer sell me a used one as NEW??
I was showing my 5127 to my watch dealer friend and he was looking at mine with a loupe.And he discovered, to my dismay, that my new patek which I purchased in 2013 had been polished, as the gold engraving the dog hallmark was barely visible.Here is the engraved dog hallmark on my new patek that has never been polished by meImageUploadedByTapatalk1412690496.380975.jpgHere is what it's supposed to look like on another white gold Patek Calatrava (5296G)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1412690544.930828.jpgAlthough it's a pretty lousy picture you can see little lines in the dog, which are details that are completely missing on my hallmark.Nothing is there on my dog under the loupe!!What do you guys think?My watch dealer friend says that this has DEFINITELY been polished.I cannot believe my watch was used and sold to me as new.I'm traveling at the moment and don't have my macro lens with me so I could only take these shitty photos with my phone and a loupe.

Question regarding the Daytona ceramic bezel
Will the paint eventually wear on the numbers like the old steel version did ?
