Audemars Piguet 67421bc.zz.a011LZ.01 wrist watches news:
Here's an interesting story you've likely already heard. While filming "Drive" Ryan Gosling was asked for input as to the watch his character was to be wearing. In accordance with the novel the piece needed to be of heirloom quality, something timeless and classic that could almost fill the role of a costar. Gosling said he wanted to wear a Patek Phillipe. The director didn't see any current models fit for the role (poor eyesight?) so a replica model was invented for the purpose of the film:Be it a fake or not, Gosling loved the watch and was allowed to keep one following the production.
As the title states, I'm considering making this move. I love my Daytona, but I tried on the 15400 this past weekend, and it blew my mind. I'd want the black dial, I personally like it more than the blue or white. Having both is not something I want to do.Making this move would leave me without a Rolex, but I'd probably pick up a Speedmaster as a second watch that is more robust.Since I am very new to the AP brand, I do have some questions for you experts.- I've read lots of comments on the cost of service for a Royal Oak. How much is a service for one, and would it really be more than my Daytona? Also, how long does a service take?- I've read some people say negative things about the accuracy of the time keeping. Is this a legit concern, or just something uninformed people keep repeating?- I'm seeing a lot of white dial used 15400s, but very few black dials. If I wanted AP to switch dials for me, how long would the turnaround be, and what would it cost?- Last question, does my wrist s
It's clearly a fake as he thinks its real because he bought it from a reputable jeweller. I'm trying to help him out, but is there something else I can direct him to do/see to get his money back?
Just wondering what you guys think this one may be worth. It's a 21,xxx,xxx serial number which I believe puts it at around 1964...
Anyone wearing a sky dweller and found inconvenient when travelling difference time zone frequently? I guess there is Pros and Cons. GMT is useful and quick adjusted to local time by turning just the bezel while need to unscrew on the sky dweller when we get into different time zone. Especially inconvenient to frequent traveller.Any thought?
