Bell & Ross BR01-94 wrist watches news:
Driving the specially prepared Luminox Watch Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car, Jeff Zwart won the 2WD Time Attack class and set a new class record in the 88th running of the Pikes Peak Hillclimb on June 27. Zwart, now a seven-time Pikes Peak class winner, not only broke Rhys Millen?’s 2009 class record by 38 seconds (after smashing his qualifying record by 18 seconds), but went faster than all but five cars in the entire field, including 3 Unlimited Class and 2 Open Wheels cars, all with 600-plus horsepower. His 911 GT3 Cup car also beat all the production-based race car entries, both 2WD and 4WD. Nobulhiro Tajima, from Japan, won the hillclimb overall in an Unlimited Class eight-cylinder, turbocharged Suzuki 4WD one-off race car.Zwart expressed amazement that his normally-aspirated car didn?’t lose horsepower from the 9,000-foot-elevation start and the 14,000-foot finish line. A combination of the 450-hp, 3.8-liter Porsche Cup car engine and expert engine map adjustments from
An interesting time at the various Audemars Piguet watch manufacture facilities leads to an interesting article I wrote in Haute Living. The full text of the Audemars Piguet manufacture article is here, but I've gone ahead and put images from the visit in the gallery below. Enjoy, I think AP fans and general watch lovers will find it a good read. #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; }
I've been undecided about what to get, a Milgauss or a GMTIIC, after some hesitation today I walked into my regular AD and told my saleswoman that today was the day and it was just a matter of me deciding which one and she deciding how low she was willing to go.I tried both on one more time and decided for the GMTIIc, after some discussion we arrived at the magical number of 23% discount off List Price.Needless to say I couldn't be happier, and needless to say if I found some money laying in the floor somewhere I would run and get the Milgauss (seems like a need to work harder to get that one too in the future).I suck at picture taking so I leave it to the pros:
I am looking to buy my first Panerai and have narrowed it down to two options: PAM183 vs PAM609I'm based in HK (anyone got any recommendations for HK dealers AD and grey market?) and the prices of the two are pretty identical - I really like the look of the 183 with the cleaner, sandwich dial (I am not a fan of the 609's sausage dial) but feel like the in-house movement of the 609 makes it much more worth it for the amount of money. The power reserve of 8 days of the in-house P5000 vs the 56 hours in the ETA based Unitas movement is also a HUGE difference. I went into a Panerai boutique here and they quoted 3-5k HKD (approx. 390-645 USD) for servicing the p5000 calibre...and i've also heard of reliability/accuracy issues on this calibre, anyone can confirm? Also, How much does/did it cost to service the Panerai OP XI calibre (based off the ETA6497) and would that presumably cheaper cost justify purchasing the 183 over the 609? Does the 8 day power reserve and in-house movement trump th
Most of you won¡¯t agree, however I predict that a platinum Submariner will be released at Basel this year, makes sense because the other 2 icons are made in platinum as well and the sub is the icon without a platinum model....
