Hello,I am new to WTF and Longinesa complete newbie.Up to now, my experience has been limited to Rolex and Panerai.Recently, however, I've become interested in smaller vintage swiss automatics.I just purchased my first vintage Longines and would like to learn more about it.I checked the sticky thread for decoding Longines reference numbers, but I'm still having trouble gleaning information about the watch in terms of reference number, model name, production year, etc.Any and all recommendations and information will be greatly appreciated.Thanks.Mike
Hi all! I have just bought a 'new' Mark Webber LE chronograph. I know it was made several years ago but the local dealer had aquired one from the distributor. I don't know where it was hiding! And yes it is supported by the factory warranty.A question though, on the outside of the bezel at 12 o?lock (looking from the top side of the watch) is a small groove. It looks like a point at which the bezel (with the tachymeter) could be removed. Should this be there? Or is it an error? Does anyone have one of these? I know they are a similar casing to the schumacher and williams f1 editions. Thanks for your help.
Greetings! New WTF member, first post...I've been searching the WTF but have only come across a few random B&M posts. My first "adult" or expensive time piece that I rewarded myself with is a B&M Capeland S. At the time I was contemplating the B&M and an Omega Sea Master. I am still pleased with my decision and the watch looks and has performed flawlessly. I still receive many compliments on the watch.I know that B&M may be not considered a WIS brand, but are there any fellow B&M owners/enthusiasts out there? Post your experiences with B&M and any pictures if you have them. :)
I would like a real comparison between the AP 3120 and the Patek 324. Nautilus 5711 vs AP RO 15400.The AP 3120 has 40 Jewels and 60 hour power reserve. The Patek has 29 Jewels and 45 hour power reserve and non hacking. Can we compare the + and - of these movements, jewels, balance bridges, shock systems, power reserve, accuracy, etc? In terms of negatives I've heard of the 3120 having rebanking issues and the 324 having date change issues. What else are possible issues with these movements.
