Antiquorum¡¯s fall auction in New York generated an impressive $3,679,437 in sales. The top lots included a Patek Philippe minute repeater, two Patek ref. 5004s, and Philippe Cousteau¡¯s Rolex “double-red” Sea-Dweller, ref. 1665. Let¡¯s take a look at the top 10 sellers.The top lot of the auction was this set of four Vacheron Constantin ¡°Metiers D¡¯Art¡± Masks timepieces. The set featured a pink gold case with Mexico mask, a white gold case with Gabon mask, a yellow gold case with a ritual Buddha Japan mask, and a platinum case with Papua New Guinea mask. This lot, number 223, sold for $603,750.This set of four Vacheron Constantin ¡°Metiers D¡¯Art¡± Masks was the top-selling lot. The next three lots are collector favorites from Patek Philipe. Hello all, I need some recommendations, suggestions and information. I'm looking for a nice daily pilot-watch. I am looking to purchase as soon as I find the one, any helpful info will be greatly appreciated.Are there any manufacturer's I should stay away from? I'm looking for something in the 45-50mm range. My budget is $300 - $500. Comments, Criticisms, Recommendations?I'm going for a pilot-watch style.

Cleaning just got a little easier
Another new toy that both my wife and I have been shopping around for. An ultrasonic cleaner we bought online. Booklet, says recommended for "Jewelery decorations, opticals & watch chains, commodities, stationery, metal articles, dining appliances".We took rikthewatchmaker's advice and used lots of liquids with lemon in it. His mixture is Lemon ammonia, Mr.Clean Lemon, and Lemon Joy. My wife cleaned all her platinum & gold rings/ with diamonds, earrings, necklaces with pendants and Tiffany jewelery. I cleaned my gold wedding band and my GV bracelet.Just plug in the cleaner, fill it with water and many of the Cleaning solution(s) you can find on the Web (or above from Rik). The unit will power off automatically after running for 3 minutes. Rinse with hot water and dry with a microfibre cloth.Pretty impressive results! Kids love to help out with the cleaning too!
