A Question: Apropos the American Watch or Not Question ....
When a watch is cased and timed in the US, but the movement is made in Switzerland .....Where is the watch designed ? .....and is it designed around the movement ?..or is the movement just the way to drive the hands. etc....I figure being timed is just a mechanical technique......the case, dial and movement being the important components of any watch .....and how many of the vintage watches were designed with a special band that went specifically for that watch ..........so my thinking is....if a watch is designed in America, and the movement is ordered, made and then shipped to the company that has designed the watch ....who then put it in their case, with their dial, and their band ......It's an American watch .........you know, I watched a lot of Top Gear ( UK version) and what has struck me is that most of the companies including the biggest ones put any engine they want, from any company , in their cars and they are still considered to be their car .....

The two-year warranty on my Panerai (purchased from authorized dealer) will be coming due later this year. Is there anything I should be looking for before then so that I can make a timely warranty claim. The watch seems to keep good time, as far as I can tell.Thanks for any thoughts on this.

I remember purchasing a men's Journal magazine where they had a sea dweller ad that caught my eye...Fast forward to today with a couple pics of What are you drinking along with the Collection and What writing instruments do you ownEnjoying it immensely and wanted to share with my TRF family. -Steve
