Ulysse Nardin 336-48 wrist watches news:
Using our catalogs in the Users Reference, I have what appears to be a piece with a 1963 Accumatic A-650 dial, but 1964 Accumatic A-602 hands and case (because of the shape of the lugs).Could this be a model transition piece, or did I just score a franken? No pix yet of the movt. It's tighter than an angry clam and I can't open it without scratching the case (and apparently the previous owner had the same problem!)a shot including the lugsa shot showing the textured dial...the case marked 'HAMILTON'. This is when my battery died, so no shot of the signed crown.
Hi guys... I was just having fun with the AP watches... enjoying the Lume the give out!
Hi allBeen an avid watch buyer for some time. Probably can¡¯t be described as a collector since I buy purely what I like and don¡¯t really consider value in the long term etc just buy for my pleasure and I'm too tight to sell them. Couldnt face someone offering me a pitance for something that is or was my pride and joy..Currently have quite a nice assortment.Rolex GMT Ceramic half gold, Panerai 251 (just purchased) Omega 50 year speedy, planet ocean chrono, omega constellation, couple of Rado's, 2 TAG's and some other odds and sods.Yes quite a diverse mixture but all worn frequently and sadly abused.Anyway over the last couple of years wife have been getting more interested in what I've picked out for her and surprise surprise recent she pulled out an old ladies Omega from the bottom of her jewellery box.She got this back in 1970 it is so small I couldn¡¯t believe it. Rectangular about 10mm by 7mm so small. It's on a replacement bracelet so don¡¯t know hat it should be.She got this from he
Following the latest shuttle mission I see all these X-33s on astronauts wrists (and a Speedmaster on a space walk). I guess the X-33 did not sell, but it is still provided to NASA personal and to the military. Under the Military Purchase Program pilots must buy their own watches, but at substantial discounts (+70%) and must order in quanities of at least 10. If they order 15 or more they can have their squadron and call-sign engraved on the back. You have to be an active member of the military to qualify.Apparenty Omega also provide the Special Boat Service (U.K. Navy Seals) with the Bond (blue) GMT and and the SAS with Planet Oceans but only Omega knows if this is correct and they are not saying. It would be nice to see the X-33, or a replacement sold to the pubic again.
It looks like an mk1 with the WG non lumed 3-6-9 is going for around $4500 - 5200 asking price on the forums. That seems like a great deal to me for probably the most versatile modern Rolex that could easily fill a 1 watch collection.I personally prefer the WG 3-6-9 on the mk1. I find the lumed 3-6-9 on the mk2 makes the watch look more generic and subdued. And I find the short hands criticism almost trivial. Are there better deals to be had on a modern rolex?
