Seiko SXDF82 wrist watches news:
This week's Bring A Loupe will be chronograph heavy. You will discover a very rare Breitling, manufactured for the Italian army, as well as two chronographs from Zenith, one featuring the iconic El Primero movement. Expect to also learn more about some incredible vintage watches from Rolex, starting with the unavoidable Daytona with Paul Newman dial, and concluding with a rare, early prototype of the Rolex Day-Date. This is your Bring A Loupe for October 30, 2015. A Very Rare Breitling For The Italian Army, The Reference 817 CP-1 E.I 1 OF 12 You may have never heard about the Breitling reference 817 CP-1 E.I, but this is one of those watches that serious collectors eagerly hunt for. Let's first explain this intriguing reference from the mid-1970s: E.I stands for Esercito Italiano,or Italian Army, as the 817 was intended for the Italian helicopter pilots. Christmas weekend.. out and about.. sign at entrance to Paeroa, New Zealand as being the place for antiques.. this is what I picked up..100/179 PS on caseback.. apparently 100 for movement 1010, 179 for case style, P for plated, and S for centre seconds..Inside...Gave the dial a bit of a clean using the lemon juice method I have been succesful with before.. almost lost the Enicar logo as it started to float away.. oops, the writing on the dial are decals.. repositioned the logo and let it dry before applying a thin coat of spray lacquer...Before..After..End result...Cheers

I don't! I guess I shouldn't say I don't know how, I just don't know if there's a particular tool that makes it easier to avoid scratching the case or bracelet, or gouging the band. The two watches that I would like to be able to swap on are the OM that I'm awaiting, and a Bulova with a brown face and a small window that shows a portion of the movement. Others have posted photos of the same model, so I'm guessing many of you know which Bulova I mean. So, any suggestions for a bracelet/strap changing tool? Thanks!
Anyone see the Omega commercial during the PGA coverage?Great looking Seamaster month/day watch. I've actually not seen that particular watch before. I think I'll stop by my local AD and check it out a little closer.Double post. Please delete.
